Over the years, pbb has more share price appreciation than mbb. So it's worth keeping both. One for the dividend yield, the other for price appreciation.

The deekheads should NOT have moved the price up!! now epf rugi, we rugi, big funds rugi also. Why? cos drip price will be higher that 7.55.. so our average price increases... hopefully the mara dropouts will sell to bring the price down before DRIP price is determined.. this also i got to teach them, how boduh they are

Cslee1215 : remember , every entry is subjected to 2% overheads.. so if u enter again, u will be looking at 4% of the cost price gone as overheads. Just my simple thought process, and of u are overcommited, it would be wise to leave some as a gamble.

staypositive : you do know why MBB div yield is so high , right? IT is because of DRIP. If no drip cash dividend only will be around 20 sen per year... not 60 sen like now. Pls check DY of other banks.

Cannot try to predict future movement based on historical data...because last time, the retail was dominated by uncles and aunties who go for "brand".....now you have a group of young, savvy and more educated.....who knows more about fundamental and valuation....it's a totally new ball game.

If MBB & strong fundamental stock, it iw way better than my FD.. or fixed price unit trust... ALL unit trust comes with a disclaimer that it can turn negative. So i think i am managing my portfolio and it is GREEN .. the losses are small compared to the gains.. so stay invested... and remember, TIME grows ur investment.. long term .. always grows.

@Cslee no, MBB is my long long term hold.

Recently took some profit on Mahsing and Genting and wanted to switch the proceed to MBB but waited too long...now, don't know what to do with the fund....will probably wait for some correction.

stkoay : analyst can say anything under the sun, with their disclaimer.. but i am very conservative and realistic. I thought this year will be bad for MBB as eco & pol looked bad,,, so 8.25 is my break even point.. so anything higher is my bonus. SO even if i went to RM10... i am still very happy. If this year dint make it 8.25 then i have to rebalance my portfolio.

I am using RHB, the DRIP is catered for automatically, but using the dividend to buy more , i cant adjust the price to 'zero' to reflect the shares bought thru cash dividend. ( sorry i dint explain fully)

Cslee1215 : Pls dont follow stkoay or me in buying and selling as our 'commitment' and strategy is long term. Only stay invested if u aim not to use that money long term. and pls buy/sell as everyone needs are different.

However i do agree that the price already run up too steep and u have to wait for a correction ( as usually funds rebalance they share owership)
If buy high, and market drops, u will lose more than u can gain... unless u are short term trader. Long term, buy low keep long long time ( few years)

There maybe a showtime during embargo period and closing might cloose a few sen higher than at 45.49pm.. just a feeling only, for MBB.. whish is actually bad for us to collect drip at a lower price.

According to the guy who said it was better to buy PBB cos it cos mush less than mbb, HE GOT IT RIGHT cos now PBB is leading , wiat a gain of 16 sen compared to MBB's14 sen! He is right for the wrong reason though!
