BENGALURU, July 19 (Reuters) - The U.S. Federal Reserve will raise its benchmark overnight interest rate by 25 basis points to the 5.25%-5.50% range on July 26, according to all 106 economists polled by Reuters, with a majority still saying that will be the last increase of the current tightening cycle.

A resilient economy and historically low unemployment well over a year since the Fed began one of its most aggressive rate hiking campaigns in history has repeatedly confounded analysts and investors.

We maintain BUY call on Malayan Banking (Maybank) with a revised fair value (FV) to RM10.00/share from RM9.80/share after rolling over our valuation to FY24.

The group’s foreign shareholdings have increased slightly to 17.73% as at end-June 2023 vs. 17.27% in Mar 2023.
The stock is trading at FY24F P/BV of 1.1x, below its 5-year historical average P/BV of 1.2x and offers an attractive dividend yield of 7.8%.

At RM10 a share, its dividend yield won't remain at 7.8% unless it increases its dividend payment to 78sen a share which is not likely.

success2628 Be Patient, foreign funds is clever won't swallow up all the shares and make it increase sharply
i.e from RM8.90++ direct shooting up to RM18.00

They will eating up batch by batch and current situation is local institutional funds and retailers throwing to foreign funds, Foreign funds will swallow it batch by batch till swallow all the shares and very less in the market,
then the price till then will be RM18.00

Lets not think that the Petrol Dollar aka Greenback will forever be the number 1 backup currency of the world. Come August when the BRICS nation summit, they might make the announcement of the formation of a new global currency. I believe Malaysia has shown interest in this new currency. Backed by Gold holdings, this new BRICS currency will be account for trade among 40% of global population should it come true. China has already bought YTD more than 200+ tonnes of gold for this purpose. Singapore also has also started hoarding gold too. once BRICS nations adopt the new currency and dump USD, US inflation will not affect the global economies. Saudi Arabia a member nation of BRIC once they reject USD, Crude Oil will no longer be tied to USD and bye bye Uncle Sam Dollar.

US economy currently has over 300+ Trillion in Debt compared to during Richard Nixon's time of 100+ Trillion. Already China has been selling down US Treasury bills even thought interest has been attractive in view of the BRICS currency ever since the start of the Chip War.

Now is just the starting of bull market of KLSE, harimau definitely will break above RM11.00 by end of this year
when KLSE hitting 1,500 points, and break above RM13.00 when KLSE hitting 1,600 points by end of 2024
and break above RM15.00 when KLSE hitting 1,700 points by end of 2025

Uncle Sam depend on PetroDollar to run their debt ridden country. Starved of rare earth material for chips now that China has retaliated by banning export and started inroads into quantum chips, bye bye silicon chips valley. Big Brother China walk the talk and can carry a big stick too.

KLSE is the lowest haven’t up one and now only around 1450++ points only , it should now already spike up to above
