Pbb isn't going after the digital bank licence. Its management says all dealings can be done on the current Internet banking system, which upgrades from time to time.

That's something I want to understand more. Local banks are rather dissapointing so far. Not sure about 2H2021 .

Allyoucanbuy, everyone has different investment strategies, pbb is my portfolio foundation, almost 50% of my invested fund. I prefer pbb over cimb because I want something real solid for foundation. Recently pullback, you could see cimb dropped below pbb. I don't think I will sell pbb for other investment and I will hold it for long long time to earn the dividend.

Thank you @Sharefisher. I have been holding pbb for near a year now. I always keep your advice in mind HOLD TIGHT TIGHT. Just that recently cimb outperforms all other local banks. Cimb share price went up 11% in 30 days. I was taken by surprise. First time seeing cimb with such performance. Touch n' Go is under cimb.

It will be interesting to see if cimb keeps up to this performance in the future. As for pbb, it has been strong and solid throughout the decades!

Pbb is for long term. Good dividend every year... If you accumulated every round of pullback during economy downturns, the capital gain also very good, your average holding also low, then you get high dividend yield. Not for short term trading.
