Late comers or those who chase after Cs will lose money when the expiry date of Cs is drawing near. The Issuers employ special officers to monitor/ control the prices of Cs wrt mother shares. E.g. Macquarie Capital Securities just listed DRB C36 on 31/5/17 with a conversion price of 1.90 & conversion ratio of 2:1. The high conversion price is to their advantage. The maturity date is 29/12/17. When C36 is near expiry date, the issuer will try hard to block the share price of DRB at 1.90. If successful, the issuer dun have to pay the C36 holders any money. C24 is a good example of how the issuer block DRB at 1.60. At the beginning of listing no one own the Cs. The issuer can put 5000 at 16 and sell 5000 at 16.5. The average closing prices of Cs are also to the advatage of issuers. The average price of daily trading is not counted. Only the last done price is taken into account. That is why the closing price of DRB suddenly dropped by the issuer

now the next, is the detail of geely-proton tied up. If later announcement say that geely contribution is in kind such as pump in 1 or 2 car design into proton, then really jiak lat. In kind contribution can be a very inflated number. Really one surprises after another.

The Proton deal with Geely will go thru. Good for both buyer & seller.

Geely getting Tg Malim plant, shares of Proton & Lotus very cheap. Only 170 million + give platform of cars that has been fully paid for.

DRB getting prized Proton land & don't need to make future investment in R&D. Plus potential share of future profits via higher utilization of Tg Malim plant.

Also, based on Proton Chairman speech, it is a done deal. Hold on tight till July. Enjoy the show

Ask the issuer Macquarie Capital Securities. They are controlling the share prices of C32 and C33. C36 also controlled by the same issuer.

The fear of drb when it drop to its lowest 80cts .1.86 From 1.78,its just a kind of psychology effect as though from 80cts bottom.
