富二代 - could be right that they are purposely depressing the mother share by shorting (since they can do it with the shares pledged in margin finance) hence driving down the price of CW but that would be scandalous.

Rightfully these IBs do not bet against the holders of CW since they delta-hedge their positions and merely take a short position on volatility so that both parties can win.

Analysing the implication of oil prices down.

Negative - the stock of crude that Petron had purchased from upstream companies have to be revalued downwards.

Positive - The price of petrol has gone up. The price of gas sold to homes & businesses, no change. This implies that the crack spread has widen.

Overall the positive > negative - am I right?

Qr result will not be better than q3.dont look good for now in anticipation of result. HY chart is much better and very very high chance of good eps

Petronm has 100m net cash but if 3.5b usd needed for upgrading its factory then a right issue will be implemented. Rm 14b within 2 years needed to fund the project. Sound unfriendly

Another question to Petronm management. Electric car is a new trend to the market. The future consumption of oil for vehicles will be lower.... The 14billions investment can be rewarded handsomely to the investors when weak demand or negative growth after 2022? Do Your high financial cost and depreciation can result better eps? I really in doubt of your 3.5b investment decisions

NO need ask petron management lah. I answer your question on electric car.
1. electric car still very expensive (for rich ppl only)
2. electric car got problem with battery, unless there's breakthrough in battery tech, else there won't be mass migration to battery car. Bottom line is , rechargeable battery tech sux.

Don't be disappointed if the next quarterly results is not up to expectations. Sometimes management for sinister reasons may purposely talk down the earnings and prospects.

I've experienced that in Dutchlady - after selling my stake due to the "gloomy" outlook, the share price just skyrocketed!!
