It is clearly stated in the report they were closed for 40days for maintenance work.You cant expect them to produce the same earning when it was only operational for half the duration for the last q

Last year was rm2 but they were losing money every quarter.You cant even put a PE figure for it.As long as crude stays within the current price range, petron will cont to be profitable. I dun crude to be rising much with slowing global economy

something wrong... if it's close 40 days out of 120 days... the profit if same as previous quarter would be 27/3 around 9 cent.. but this is 6 ... maybe the margin compress due to circumstances..... so the sell down definitely justified...

petron can't keep for long term.... no one can know for sure the oil price is few months down the road... once it spike this share will definitely plunge again... better be careful....

PE cant be 10 cos earning wont be certain.. most probably it will just range around 5- 5.5 for the time being... once the next quarter results out will move the price...

I agree with u that cannot be kept for long term. After all is a cyclical stock determined by crude oil price. But i dun think crude oil will rise drastically within this 6 months or a year. So my main point is there is no need to panic sell.

Petro share price should be stabilize now at around 5.20, downside risk is limited now, and 20sen dividend offer cushion and yield about FD rate. Share price will rebound back once sell off is easing with stronger earning in next quarter is expected
