this tamak government only look at big factory to allow them to operate. like penang big company is allow to operate even though is not related to essential service like UWC,Penta, Inari ,Jabil ,Plexus, and few more. the question is how this big company can get thru MITI? think about it .. minum kopi ker?hehehe

Posted by David Gunter > 2020-04-06 07:53 | Report Abuse

They fail to understand how many people this factory employs? How much of taxes they pay? Is semiconductor factory essential business? People eating microchips is it? It should strategic not essential.

They should look at the strategic companies and how much of taxes they pay. Heineken paid RM 1.2 billion in 2018 and more in 2019. How does semiconductor companies bring by operating?

There will be 1 important segment that will hit hard into HEIM profitability, and it's the alcoholic bars and cafes. I was tempted at first to buy in the company even at higher PE but later decided against it due to potentially drop in earnings for next Q. One good example is just yesterday Starbucks saw a dropped by 47% in earnings despite they also sell coffee grounds. It's scary. For short-term trade, I am not so sure too. Also, there's no news on the tax change from new government.

With the high cash position, I believe the company is capable of weathering the storm. Once businesses move back to some what of a normalized state, we should see the company gaining traction again.

high cash is not means that you can make money from your investment

there are many high cash company in KLSE , but its share price?

your entry price & ability of company to make increase profit from year to year are important

RainT

also due to recent megasales in KLSE

Many company dividend yield shoot up to above 5%

this DY 5% is based on history dividend when Covid-19 not yet come to effect

again important is the ability of the company to make increase profit or not

if profit can grow year by year then all also will good: dividend & share price go up

2.96% is not a good yield! Last year they paid 54c in July, and further 42c in Oct. Total for 2019 was 96c.
This year they are paying nothing in July, nothing in Oct, but finally only 66c in Nov for the full year!. That is a very big drop in dividends of 31.25%, not counting loss of use of the dividends until December!
66c dividend for a full year on opening price of 23.90 this morning is only 2.76% per year that is a terrible yield. Actually is for more than a full year as the last Dividend was in Oct.
Seems the market agrees and the share price was hammered today dropping 56c off today's high and a full 38c on yesterdays close, on a day the market was up!
A terrible result for investors.

I've gone and compared Heineken's 10 year financial results against Carlsberg, Nestle, F&N and Dutch Lady. Here's what I've found out.
