Don't rush in.... Next week see UJ got announcement or not. If not UJ. Then not so scare. If UJ, you better run...... I saw wct suffering when epf and UJ throwing until below 5%, I believe they still throwing even I can't tell from announcement now.

KUALA LUMPUR: IJM Corp Bhd’s shares are higher in early trade Thursday, after it reported earnings that were broadly in line with expectations.

The conglomerate rose 3.25%, or four sen to RM1.27 with over eight million shares done. IJM Plantations Bhd added 2.29%, or four sen to RM1.79.

For the first quarter ended June 30, IJM posted a net profit of RM1.27mil compared with RM59.4mil made a year ago. Its revenue for the quarter fell to RM880mil from RM1.54bil previously.

Maybank Investment Bank Research said IJM’s weak 1QFY21 was expected and at RM1mil net profit, this was in-line with the house's border-line loss expectation.

It said the RM1bil job win had lifted its outstanding construction orderbook to R5.5bil, while RM300mil property sales have raised its unbilled sales to RM1.25bil.

“We tweak FY21/22/23E net profit by -2%/-2%/ 2% and RNAV/share to RM1.98 (-2sen). Value has emerged after its share price weakness.

“We now incorporate a 20% discount (new) to derive a revised target price of RM1.58 (previously RM2.00). Upgrade to buy,” Maybank said.

CGS-CIMB Research considered IJM’s performance to be broadly in line as it projected a gradual normalisation of operations in the quarters ahead (recovery in construction billings, highway traffic, building material demand and productivity levels closer to before MCO).

The research house said IJM's share price has declined 43% YTD. The current valuation of 0.45x FY21F P/BVis below the post-14th General Election (GE14)P/BV low of 0.55x (share price is also 14% lower than post-GE14 low of RM1.45).

“The stock now offers a favourable risk-reward,in our view, ahead of the potential recovery in the construction sector outlook with the government’s implementation plans for large-scale contracts,e.g. MRT 3, High Speed Rail (HSR) and East Coast Rail Line (ECRL) tenders.

“We upgrade to Add but with a lower target price of RM1.59 as we raise the RNAV discount from 30% to 40% in view of the subdued 1QFY21 performance,” it said.

Epf is holding 16%, 582 million shares, UJ 6% 219 million, kwap 9% 327 million, these three big shareholders are actively throwing shares into open market. Total 31% holding, if they stop action, maybe it is time to collect. If not, market will full of free floating shares. For share price to go up, free floating share must fall into long term shareholders hands. Just my opinion.
