Ho 's family holding 30+ % only....so great chance for the take-over by a hostile co....they just have to mop up the open market shares n can make a call for acquisition is just too good enough to send shivers to all the existing major shareholders . The amount of capital is 625-700 millions to make that call...
Brewing? Dear management.....reward the minority shareholders with special dividend, bonus, share split and warrants!!!! We have been waiting for years......
If you take a copy of Keck Seng's most recent annual report, you will find that more than half of the company's 30 largest shareholders are linked to the Ho family and they together hold more than 55% of Keck Seng's paid up capital.
What's brewing? One of few possibilities >> split shares to 50 sen par bonus issue special dividend re-classify business into property/leisure sector and plantation sector re-value assets
Threshold 50% plus 1 share to effect a Take Over code...so if Kseng has owned more than the threshold , it must make a mandatory offer .....according to the code...unless it is still below the threshold and approved by SC....
Do not need to wait until RM 25.00 , RM 6.00-6.50 already can secure quite a nos of shares ....n to make a reasonable sum in future when someone offers to take over....so it is a long waiting game...
As of 5 May 2014, Keck Seng's directors and their associates are in possession of about 61% of its paid up capital. Only its directors and their associates are in a position to make a general offer to take over Keck Seng, meaning to privatize it.
You need to be extremely patient with this counter. The next time Keck Seng may move will be when the company is about to announce the payment of the final dividend.
1700 acres *RM 200,000= approx. RM 3.4 Billion.... Divided by 361 mi shares Cash Share Per Share is RM 9.41 .... This time , they must refund all....coz in the coffer already stashed with cash more than RM 1.0+ Billion...
lim, you got your arithmetic wrong I am afraid. 1700 acres at RM 200,000 per acre would work out to RM 340 million in total. Anyway, the compensation is likely to be at least 50% higher than your quoted rate if any acquisition really takes place.
oh I c ...340 millions instead of 3.4 B....corrections, it means 90+ c per share refund.... Quite reliable coz all documentation had been received n now only can bargain for higher compensation ; this clearly shown that the management is good for nothing. Why in the first place , not sending for conversion , if under property or industrial the compensation will be at least 5 times , now as minority shareholders we r losing because of damn lousy management.
retained earnings 1.326 Billion cash per share 1.326 Billion /361.477 million = RM 3.66 per share Add 340 million/361.477 million= 94c Total Cash per share RM 4.60 exclusive of Balance of landed assets 7k+acres quoted shares n investments hotel n resorts etc....
To make it short, should Keck Seng's directors decide one day to call it a day and dispose all its assets at market prices, those who have bought today can expect a return of not less than RM 15 per share.
Better advised Kseng management to sell all the assets like jobst n refund all the dues to all the shareholders , we r really fed up with the present set of management, they r good for nothing...
latest fr reliable sources that the govt compensation is RM 8.50/ft2 , which is much higher than the earlier estimates of RM 2.50/ft2 , so the adjusted compensation shall be 3.4x higher for 1700 acres n which will amount to 1700*43560*8.5=74,052,000*8.5=RM 6.29442Billion RM So, do u think how much is per share?
many will regret not picking up when it touched its low....I think many will start buying when it has breached RM 8.00 .....towards RM 25.00.....just plain joking!
