Karipap karipap nowadays also cost at least RM1.00... tissue paper 1 packet also 40 cents. So if MAS shares can achieve tissue paper price I will be very happy to sell. Karipap wants to buy @0.26 and sell karipap @ RM1.00?
MAS crew threaten walkout over union chief's suspension 10:21AM Nov 22, 2013 Cabin crew union members are planning to stage its "biggest" walkout in protest against the suspension of National Union of Flight Attendants Malaysia (Nufam) president Ismail Nasaruddin and alleged mistreatment of staff by MAS.
Cabin crew union members are planning to stage its "biggest" walkout in protest against the suspension of National Union of Flight Attendants Malaysia (Nufam) president Ismail Nasaruddin and alleged mistreatment of staff by MAS.
Allow these brainless cabin crews to walkout and please sack these blood suckers. We do not need stupid people who don't earn $$$ for the organization. They only know how to make noise. Stupid people from MAS should be sacked. What kind of fcking crews are these.
they just want salary, why bother if MAS in red or in black. Don't just blame the cabin crew lah, back office staff are a lot more not doing their job and makan gaji saje
Knowing MAS already overstaffed, the staff cost did not increase significantly in the latest 3Q results, I guess the management know about this, they expand their capacity and fight for market share, so that with the existing work force, make them work harder, seems like a good idea. But the union already making noise, saying too tough the work schedule, very difficult to recover to catch the next flight. Which is true also, we are human not robot. But MAS is bleeding, so pls bear with it, diam diamlah union. THe A and P bills are scary, MAS spend like nobody business to advertise and promote their expanded capacity, I wonder how they can spend so much while the co is not making money yet, it seems no one really look into the calculations carefully. Or someone has pocketed fr this spending? Apparently, the crews who carry MAS image, who is in the frontline should be treated well, so that they can serve better, smile sweeter to generate better repeat sales for MAS. A lot of aspect of cost can be cut and by focusing on other area of business which can generate profits, MAS should be able to show good results and MAS shares continue to appreciate its value, everyone can benefit fr investing in MAS shares. See you at 40 sen in the next 3 month.
Since the investor already willing to paid for his company restructuring.I think they don't mind if MAS CEO want to restructuring all their crews and replace all of them once.Just one time pain can eliminate the future thread, can consider as a good plan too.If really want to compare,MAS crews live too well compared to others airlines,in this critical moment also don't know how to appreciate then better choose their own path already.
Since MAS is doing an International Airlines business, all his crews members is more appropriate to be included foreign workers that come from our neighbor country in order to attract more foreign customers to use their service. This practice we can always see it at Genting Casino, most of the dealer is from Thai,Indo,China,Spore,Myanmar and etc. This strategies mainly is to let foreign customers feel like home and not feeling alone when they using foreign airlines service.
Malaysia Airlines is close to clocking up five whole years in the red. That’s half a decade. What an astonishingly long bout of unprofitability!
The national airline’s current financial troubles started way back in 2009. The year was especially difficult for the aviation industry. The global financial crisis hit hard that year and not one airline was spared.
While practically every Asian legacy airline has recovered since, Malaysia Airlines, ever the laggard, has not.
i remember quite some numbers of member keep shouting to buy MAS, and look-like-confident that MAS can turnaround? haha. ok la not to be mean, i just what to say that even rosmah also take private jet, there is no surprise that MAS keep making loss. Still holding? Or waiting for another right issue like Khazanah? hehe
crude oil price falling, expected to go lower in the future. Iran may supply another 1 million barrel a day in the future, currently exporting 1.5 million barrel a day. Very positive for airline company like Mas. Fuel cost constitute about 33 % of Mas cost. For a company that is aggresively expanding capacity, it is one of the best news for AJ.
Too many MAS staff who dont have important work to do just hangging around and get fat salaries end of each month.......how to turn a round.... make profit???
boss, best news but oil price is forever flactuating...it should be already accounted for in running the company. I don't it is prudent to base one's P/L on an oil price which is beyond one's control...
Crude oil is underpressure in the short term, it is bearish in the long term. For a company which is difficult to cut cost especially the staff cost, we hope the cost of fuel can come down hard so that MAS can be profitable. We have to bet the fuel price, because steps or changes hv been made by the management, the single most important cost which is vey hard to manage but if managed well is going to safe MAS a lot of money. In fact this variable (jet fuel price) is one of my reasons in investing MAS. The most important one.
I don't disagree that fuel cost as an important factor in MAS success. All I am saying is, it shouldn't be the basis of determinng the company business plan, as it is indeed something beyond MAS's control. You could read the future oil price as good as an oil and gas economist but such commodity is driven by market forces, speculations and state of economic. For example the cause of oil price drastic drop in 2009 has little to do with the supply and demand or that oil reserve had got suddenly depleted. It was mainly due to market speculations. The same thing on bullish or bearish outlooks, perhaps derived from price charts, etc. but there is no way one could guarantee that oil price won't go higher than the current level in the near future. If fact in line with inflation and production cost, its price should be expected to go higher in the long run. Thus MAS cannot rely on lady luck alone when wrting its future plan. That would be a gamble of some of the pyblic fund. The right thing to do is still to run the company as properly possible, reduce cost, improve efficiency like other more successful aviation companies.
management is the main issue but i think Union is the biggest issue. How many CEO had MAS change and which CEO didn't get boycott by the Union?why boycott? u should know the answer
MAS have to take drastic and hard decision to cut cost in manpower and supply chain. If they still continue with the current mentality of running the business, in another few quarter - they will request some additional bail out from the government again...it's the tax payers monies...
yesterday major airlines in Europe up 2 to 2.7% after the major powers reach agreement with Iran, even though they know the supply of oil fr Iran with take a few months more to materialize. This morning the syndiket try to press down to scare potential buyers of MAS. But it last less than 5 minit, they quickly grab all the sellers at 31.5 sen. they are doing short covering of MAS. Most airlines are singing the tune of easing oil price, what are MAS waiting for? If not of the act of the syndiket, MAS would be trading up 10% already.
1: Tun Abdullah Badawi is advisor to MAS and not Tun M. Tun via Brahim owns MAS catering which has a 25 year contract. 2: Dato Sri Idris Jala did the opposite of what Ahmad Jauhari is doing - Idris cut routes where else Ahmad Jauhari reinstated them.
Lop sided contracts and different turnaround plans will determine the direction the airline is heading.
Blaming increase cost to manpower alone is easier said than done cos don't forget MAS is a 5 star airline and you wouldn't want banglas to man the counters and serve you as well !
MAS needs an airline experienced team and a MD who knows when to step aside if he fails to deliver.
As all our investors here know the problems with MAS, only the stupid bunch that run the company don't see it. Amazing, maybe they should learn from us all.

Who is the syndicate ?? Khazanah is the single largest shareholder in MAS with 69.37% or 11.59 billion shares while the Employees Provident Fund has 1.04% or 174.21 million shares. The Government holds a golden share in MAS.
A group of people who has agenda on MAS. They are the taking the opportunity over MAS. They are using a few brokers to depress the stock price. When situation arise to make profit, they will push up and sell for a profit. But overall the stock price is always depressed. May be they are bargaining or in discussion wth the gov to restructure Mas or take over Mas.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
