Hi Deadwood, the last episode saw the MAS price trade for 40 senonly for less than 10 minit, you still could catch the buyer 39.5 quite easily, 39 sen was easy to sell, at 39 sen was trading at rm1.03 cum right.
The volume generated hit 700 million, they hv churned out hugh vol to unload, fr here it retraced to 31 sen, then consolidated upward to 35 sen again, then in order to lockin some profit, it managed to push to 36.5 sen to unload again, then they started to to accumulate heavily again at 34 sen, they even block the MAS sharesfr going higher, they were selling and buying at 34.5 level, betting on the 3rd Q result, but unfortunately the result was bad, they are taking the opportunityto sell down, taking short position again. They push dowd to collect to bring downtheir average price, in the meantime the traders who are unable to hold will be buried by them. Since the right issue until now, for a period of 5 month fr jun 13 until nov 20 ,i believe their aver price will be 33 to 34 sen. This work out to be around 73 sen cum right price, which is still 30% cheaper before the massive right issue. Is the current price 31.5 sen good buying price for MAS? you judge your selves!!!
A lot of people are eyeing MAS, do not rule out the possibility of being taken over by Malaysian Tycoon. The price is cheap. The MAlindo Boss is eyeing!!!
I believe if you can hold long term you may reap the rewards. MAS is not going anywhere. We just have to ride the turbulance until it has time to recover. How long? 2 -4 years? I cannot say but I'm banking on the fact that this is a national airline and so something will be done. The question is can you wait and hold?
@qqq668, guess you are right, only 10 minutes @ 0.40.....too excited at that time, seemed like hours. Me bought quite a big volue at 0.315, when price went so fast, greed took over so didn't sell right away..:)
@bella5, long term is ok. There are many factors which can push MAS price up but maybe after we have seen more blood. What if KLSE crash? It has been on bull run since the last major crash in 2008/2009..my gut feeling is KLSE will crash sooner than later. And imagine MAS price at that time. Thus, we cannot really talk about its long term as uncertainties exceed MAS positive outlook in my opinion.

hope MAS will do restructuring, split out the MRO business portion, let someone manage it to profitiblity. AS so many air crafts bought and use by the full service and low cost carriers, this business section can be big, and it is growing. If you can not make money in sell air tickets, better spend sometime doing repair, service, overhaul and maintenance for other airlines

A genuine investor will never touch this company as they know this company is not doing business as they dont know how to do business. Everyone knows the problems well, just the mgt dont know. Therefore, this counter is for speculation.
It's really sad to hear that this counter is for speculation. I hope the shareholders do something. Open their eyes and see the potential for MAS to grow exponentially. Then real long term investors will start pouring in.

may be a good trading stock, but not the good investment stock. Good trading stock means you can earn big, you also can lose all. This is violate the actual meaning and spirit of the stock market. But no matter how, still value to buy, if really drop below 30c. But don't expect will drop too much, because need to maintain face mah.

Management will always put the blame on higher wages, foreign exchange loss, fuel cost, financing charges but will never admit that they were at fault or aware of how this loss escalated.
Management should ask themselves if they have the know how's in running an airline offering the same 5 star service similar to Singapore, Qatar and Cathay. We should also question if there is real commitment given to the airline by its board of directors who they themselves have their own companies to run.
