Posted by Yong Chun Wah > 2014-03-26 07:55 | Report Abuse

I think bn federal govt wont let it file for bankruptcy. to save face and prevent pr to use it as a political issue involving rakyat's. likely to sell it to private parties, merge with other airlines or absorb by airasia ( no issue with anti comprition acts, etc etc as we have malindo n other foreign airlines here n also open sky policy in asean in 2015 if not mistaken. :)

Talk nonsense... how can an airline with big litigation do merger? Or sell to private? No brain talking.

It is high time the Malaysian Govt being put to test on global standard but it is also unfortunate and tragic that the cost has costed the lives of so many innocent people. My heart goes out to the family members of MH370.

Strangely, not much comment from the Malaysian Home Ministry on MH370. I was hoping to see how he'd have handled such ' defining moment'.

These 2 years (based on AirFrance tragedy) MAS will battle lawsuit provided they found the black box and wreckage, until MH370 settle and ppl start to forget this tragedy, MAS will never go back to normal, normal mean still lost making, so only time will tell when they going to pay all 12 billions loan some in USD with decrease ringgit value and increasing fuel cost.

It's easy for suddenly-know-it-all armchair experts and analysts to start pointing fingers left, right and centre. But nobody can be 100% certain that he is pointing that sore finger of his in the right direction.

If it was a terrorist act or a hijacking, do you blame the government of Malaysia? Did anyone blame the US government for WTC?

If it was an accidental explosion which caused de-pressurisation and loss of oxygen, do you blame the government of Malaysia?

Did the French people blame the French government for that disappeared Air France aircraft that plunged into the sea that time, only to be found 2 years later?

Posted by ThambiPower > 2014-03-26 12:32 | Report Abuse

Dreamhunter Bro, its how they handled the whole situation. Nothing to do with blaming. Unprecedented has nothing to do with not sharing data and sharing late. Have the MAS personnel share the content of the cargo? Is not difficult to confirm because its all tag nicely

another serious implication

For mh370 incident, even mas may not need to bare any responsible on it, but its still will affect its business. It already losing money for years, but there still people have faith on this counter? Yes, the government won't let it die, doesn't mean gov will fund good enough to let mas to perform and gain profit, at least it won't profit in short term, maybe not in long term as well. The best they can do is just like mas survive, cause it they capable to make mas runs better, mas won't losing money for years after funding them so much money. Never know gov may abandon mas 1 day, when mas no longer useful for gov, you just can't trust the gov.

Dream Bro, I think its all about intelligence in searching. We are taking everything from Boeing and RR and they blame China for wrong information which sidetrack their search. Vietnam also found something, so did China, Autralia why blame the size of the aircraft fleet?

HELLO WORLD, HERE'S PROOF OF UMNO-BRED STUPIDITY: Lawmaker wants Internet CENSORED to calm Chinese anger over MH370

KUALA LUMPUR - Putrajaya must restrict information on the Internet about Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 to protect Malaysians from the rage of Chinese families who lost their relatives to the doomed plane, Datuk Bung Mokhtar Radin said today.

According to the Kinabatangan MP, continued bad news about the plane that is now assumed lost with no survivors among the 239 people on board could move Chinese citizens to take out their anger on Malaysians abroad.

“With our uncontrolled media, everything can be uploaded to their heart’s content. What will then happen?” Bung asked in Parliament today.

“What will happen if Chinese citizens believe in such issues? They will riot and torture any Malaysians wherever they are. We don’t want this to happen.”

Bung made his remark when he, as a representative of the Barisan Nasional Backbenchers Club, was debating an emergency motion on MH370 proposed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak earlier.

Najib this morning submitted an emergency motion in Dewan Rakyat to mourn the fate of passengers and crew on the missing airliner, expressing Putrajaya’s condolences over the incident.

The emergency motion was seconded by Arau MP Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim. Representatives from the main parties will debate the motion today.

This comes as scores of angry relatives of the Chinese passengers aboard flight MH370 set out on a protest march to the Malaysian embassy in Beijing today to demand more answers about the fate of the missing plane and those on board.

Around 200 family members, some in tears, linked arms and shouted slogans including “The Malaysian government are murderers” and “We want our relatives back”.

The move to protest outside the embassy took place hours after relatives reacted with grief and anguish to Malaysia’s confirmation late last night of their worst fears about the flight.

China has demanded that Kuala Lumpur hand over the British satellite data that led it to conclude that the Beijing-bound Malaysia Airlines flight crashed at sea and that none of the 239 people aboard survived. Two-thirds of the passengers were Chinese.

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission announced in 2013 that it has blocked 2,753 websites for violating the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 and other regulations last year. -Malaymail

Former MCA president, Ong Tee Keat, recently called on MCA to accept the truth about Kajang by-election. Some of our readers' commented on this as well:

1Mockery: It is not that MCA alone was rejected by voters but BN as a whole that was rejected.

It’s just unfortunate that Kajang voters are largely educated group, apart from some old folks who feel that only Umno or BN is the only party that can run the country.

Going by the trend, BN is in its last few years in power. The old folks will soon be gone. The younger more educated ones will form the bulk of the voters.

My 30-year-old son was in Umno Youth a few years back. Where he is now? PKR.

We were cheated by the Malaysian government, claim relatives

BEIJING, March 25:

Tensions ran high as grief-ridden angry relatives of the Chinese passengers aboard the missing Malaysia Airline flight MH370 protested outside the Malaysian Embassy here today, demanding answers from the airline and accusing the Malaysian government of not disclosing information to them.

A horde of family members shouted “Malaysian government has cheated us” and “Malaysia, return our relatives” as they marched peacefully and held banners during the protest.

Police formed a human wall outside the embassy, preventing them from entering the building.

The relatives held signs that read: “MH370, Don’t let us wait too long!” and “1.3 billion people are waiting to greet the plane”. They wore matching T-shirts that said: “Best of luck to MH370, return home safely”.

“We’ve waited for 18 days and still, you make us wait. How long are we supposed to hang on?” a woman surnamed Zhang said.

Photographs posted by Chinese media showed protesters holding banners that said: “Malaysia Airlines! You owe us an explanation”.

An Malaysian embassy official said “we are still handling this matter, and have yet to release any information publicly”.

Earlier, a statement from family members had denounced the Kuala Lumpur government and its national carrier as “executioners”.

Most of those on board the scheduled Kuala Lumpur to Beijing flight were Chinese.
