of course la company will reply not aware. U really dare to announce anything before Govt and Khazanah ? The info receive by overseas news is source from inside the company or whoever inside the deal process.
hahahahah when it not go as per your plan then blame game start. Blame govt...blame khazanah....even blame MCA hahahahha. This is Malaysian and Malaysia Shareholder or retailer. hahhahaha. Funny Funny. I thought the money is yours. And you are the one make decision to invest. Yet you blame other when you cannot get the return as per what you expect. Hahahahahahahah Funny Funny.
i think static at 0.23. Just watch bloomberg tv and tv3 news that analysis said it will be privatize. But something struck me is that when the reporter interview one of the minority shareholder of MAS, the person did not agree for khazanah or govt to bring MAS to private because he said public/minority shareholder who bought and hold the share at higher price will be RUGI as khazanah will only privatize MAS around 0.20 - 0.40. Emmm very interesting as now minority shareholder also voice up on the privatization plan.

KUALA LUMPUR: Shares of Malaysia Airlines (MAS) rose at mid-morning on Thursday on news report that Khazanah Nasional Bhd may take the ailing national carrier private.
At 9.24am, MAS rose 2.5 sen to 23.5 sen with some 98.1 million shares done between 23 sen and 24.5 sen.
The FBM KLCI was down 0.41 of a point to 1,886.43. Turnover was 279.15 million valued at RM133.9mil. There were 196 gainers, 143 decliners and 252 counters unchanged.
Khazanah aims to take MAS private as the first step in a major restructuring of the loss-making airline following the disappearance of its flight MH370, two people with direct knowledge of the matter told Reuters.
A delisting would pave the way for Khazanah to revive the ailing carrier, possibly by selling off its profitable engineering, airport services or budget airline units, trimming its bloated payroll and installing a new management team.
Khazanah says it is now undertaking a review for restructuring (privatisation?), looks like all preparation will be in place once approvals obtained. At this time, just call it speculative. MAS needs this privatisation to resuscitate.
Khazanah did not make any statement. MAS made a statement that it is not aware of such privatization but to leave the ultimate decisions to the major shareholders of MAS. Khazanah is making a corporate restructuring effective September 1st and it involves none other than the brother of Najib,Nazir. So guys, alot is in store and MAS is 1 of the plan. Watch out for GLC-linked stocks. The new gold finger in own is soon-to-be Chairman of CIMB and also soon-to-be Chairman of Khazanah, Nazir Razak.
Asap tanpa api, definately there is something going on. Only people with connections will know. Eventually the goverment/khazanah have to fix MAS but when?
My opinion, wait for Q2 results, massive losses, next the price drop to 15-16 sens. Next, Khazanah announced privatization and give a premium of 10%, that would be max 17.6 sen. All are trapped then while the big fish buy back at cheap dirt price.
I have been saying this since Maybank article been published. The privatisation won't give any benefits to the minority shareholders. It's not done to benefit you at the first place.
Btw this is not US, this is Malaysia.....We can't use US privatization as business case. Check back Astro, Maxis and Ranhill privatization execises. Did it really benefits the minority shareholders?
Good luck to those think that privatization will benefit them. You all are just a small fish to Khazanah. I am still waiting for 0.15 or lower probably after Q 2 result.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
