$BAT - is trading at 27 years low... Surely the bottom is not far away?? Even the most pessimist analyst have TP of RM 11.90
"1) Calendar year 2019 dividends total = RM 1.32... Assume we give 20% discount for calendar year 2020, or total div payout of RM 1.06, that's still 10% dividend yield...
2) Assume we give 20% de-growth for FY 2020, that's EPS of RM 1.025, that's FY 2020 expected PE of 10x."
Smoking ban in restaurant and hawker stalls has hurt BAT a lot, follow with losing market share to vape and pods as a substitute goods. But the worst has come to an end, as the new tobacco products act will be passed this year to regulate vapes product. Together with current high DY > 10%, BAT should rebound to at least DY5% on the current low interest regime.
However, not too optimistic la, RM60 and above is not likely anymore.
