@Mikecyc Haha FGV said one loh :

FGV expects CPO to trade between RM2,500 and RM2,600 per tonne in 1H21
TheEdge Tue, Nov 17, 2020 04:47pm - 13 hours ago

KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 17): FGV Holdings Bhd expects crude palm oil (CPO) to trade between RM2,500 and RM2,600 per tonne in the first half of next year (1H21), slightly lower than the average of about RM2,747 per tonne seen from June to date.

While FGV CEO Datuk Haris Fadzilah Hassan noted that the forward prices for the next six months until May 2021 are very strong, until reaching above RM3,000 per tonne, he said the group is sticking with its forecast range.

“We have our own views with regards to how the numbers will pan out, taking into account the issues of supply and weather conditions. It is a forecast that we are working on
18/11/2020 7:02 AM

This is normal...

He does not want to set too much expectation.

Next coming Fourth quarter Q4 results will be even better, viewing current CPO price is about to break at RM 3,500 level soon.

October production drop a lot, if not really is good to hold. Now hope this month production can increase then can buy in again, if not just same only due to low production even though cpo price is good

Oct ffb production only 79k
Cpo only 14k
This is too low compare to last year

If this two month continue with this production, then it is pointless that cpo price is high

Sarawak’s timber exports down 20% because of Covid-19
Goh Pei Pei -
November 13, 2020 11:24 AM

KUCHING: Sarawak’s timber exports have dropped by 20% for the first three quarters of the year because of Covid-19, Deputy Chief Minister Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said.

He said the state’s timber exports from January to September amounted to RM2.8 billion compared with RM3.5 billion in the same period last year.

Exports of plywood, the main timber product, dropped by 17% to RM1.5 billion compared with RM1.8 billion in 2019.

Awang Tengah said exports to all major markets, including Japan, India, the Middle East and Korea, have dropped.

Beware Jtiasa cut its stake in rimbunan swait at loss.....Jtiasa cost was 50sen, acquire in 2015 but dispose open market at 20-28sen. Loss of disposal + re-measurement will erode Jtiasa result on top of continue timber loss making.

For pure upstream CPO stock, focus on Boustead plantation and TH planation

Rsawit overexpanded but it is ok as it is 100% pure upstream players

Jtiasa pay down rsawit ok

Last qtr Jtiasa result was impacted by Rm98.9 millions impairment from ppe(property plant and equipment) if not it was profitable

This coming qtr with 326,000 tonnes of Ffb plus at higher prices Jtiasa should do well

While Jtiasa bought rsawit at 50 sen Insider Top Boss of Jtiasa bought Jtiasa as high as Rm2.20 years ago and still holding very tightly

So we are buying at only 40% of what Jtiasa Top boss bought at over Rm2.20 and still holding firmly

Many other good points are found in Jtiasa

Coming up next

Calvin research on Jtiasa latest post soon

Stay tuned

TOUGH TIME FOR PLYWOOD MANUFACTURERS IN MALAYSIA
11-03-2020

Malaysian plywood manufacturers have lost market share in Japan, their key export market, due to stiff competition from Indonesian suppliers and the sharp increase in local production of plywood from domestic softwood resources.

Statistics from the Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corp. (STIDC) reveal that Sarawak plywood export volumes fell to about 1.12 million cubic metres, worth RM2.26 bil (FOB), in 2019 from 1.43 million cubic metres (RM3.03 bil) in 2018 and 1.74 million cubic metres (RM3.27 bil) in 2017
