Correct, YTL placed out 5% stakes in MCement at close to RM5.00 per share, bringing home cash of about RM325 million. That was mainly to comply with the minimum free floats of 75%.

Now YTL is left with 73.5% stakes in MCement. YTL could placed out another 3.5% stakes in MCement and retain 70% majority stakes. Based on current share price of RM5.80, placing out 3.5% stakes in MCement would bring in cash of another RM270 million.

Not forgetting YTL still owns several unlisted hotels which may be injected into YTL REIT later, and that would bring in cash of at least RM3.7 billion over next few years.

ytl reit just announced a RM76m net profit, which is 125% increase QoQ and 11% increase YoY, as ytl has a 58.63% shareholding in ytl reit, this translates to RM45m inclusion in next qtr ytl performance, which is an increase of RM25m compared to the previous qtr share of RM20m roughly.... 125% increase..... happy hunting :-)

if you look closely at the volume traded its obvious some one is throwing this 1 LOT at one time just to push it down in order to gain from the short selling game..if throwing..it wont be 1 lot at a time..the thing is that bursa allow this kind of nonsense..i have seen it too many times with other stocks in bursa..

The US stock market had been on a bull run since 2009, but did it benefit the rest of the world (Malaysia in particular)?
Dow 7000 in 2009, now 39,700 (More than 5X). For Nasdaq it is around 10X
FTSE Bursa 850 in 2009, now only 1600. (Really bad! when inflation included)
I believe we ought to decouple from the US market and follow more the Chinese market.
Right now the Chinese market had caught a cold, if not pneumonia. It is down a lot. How much more can it go down?
Of course finally it comes to the fundamentals of your individual stock portfolio.
Maybe OTB and Dragon share some of their thoughts. Tq
