i still remember approximately 2~3 years ago, certain people promising the moon and stars for this counter. All types of baseless calculations came up saying each quarter can earn RM200+ mil blah blah blah..
Vietnam JV (JAKS 30%) is considered as associate company hence do not contribute revenue but share of profit. This profit is just a book profit the actual cash flow is based on dividend from the Vietnam JV. Next quarter will have a better picture on what will be shared of profit and dividend from Vietnam JV.
JAKS Malaysia business expected to remain cash negative throughout 2021. Badly need cash dividend from Vietnam JV. If cash dividend is not forthcoming then can expect another round of PP or RI.
Air Asia lost 2.44 billion and share price is nicely up..... future depending on covid..... JAKs lost 100 million and with 25 years recurring income and we are talking about limit down? HAHAHAHA
ugh this jaks is just burdened with so many negative events right now, making it ever so hard to invest.
material litigation which is never-ending, ridiculous amount of impairments. what's next that management has not promptly inform us? management is doing a really shit job not managing expectations of shareholders but instead keep throwing out surprises.
the powerplant project can only help so much, it's not a get out jail free card that u can use forever. i'm beginning to think if this is really a con-man company seeing how KYY was mercilessly kicked out.
this quarter bad result could bring the booming up to next quarter due no more impairement and rrvenue of 2 generator will show in next quarter revrnue of
Just too bad, poor disclosure standards where frequent sudden impairment or written of occurred out of sudden instead of accrual basis. Sudden impairment may occur eg factory fire without insurance, etc but not under normal circumstances.
actually the Jaks share price has risen significantly right after the rights issue for no reason. those were the time of the bull market where people just buy anything blindly after the sharp fall. the price overshot way ahead of it's fundamentals and now it's proven to be a mirage. if 2mr the price still hold well, it's better to get out
Summarised statements of financial position as at 31 December 2018: JIC (RM) Non-current assets: 144,366 Current assets: 127,165,593 Current liabilities: 268,263,388 Total equity: (140,953,429) Attributable to: Non-controlling interest: (69,067,180)
JIC would still need to raise new funding to pay the buyers the LAD owed which is currently around RM165m (accumulated since 4Q16). Apart from that JIC also owes JAKS around RM35.4m, which JAKS had previously loaned to JIC for the construction cost and bank guarantee of the Pacific Star project
Question 4: Please explain how JIC will settle this RM35.4 m with JAKS? Ans: Any amounts owing by JIC is to be settled in the ordinary course of business
Question 5: Is 50 million Bank Guarantees paid previously by JAKS to Star Media Group part of JIC current liabilities? Ans:Yes , it is a disputed performance liability with a corresponding amount of receivable in current asset.
So the PROPOSED DISPOSAL BY JAKS SDN BHD (“JSB”), A WHOLLY-OWNED SUBSIDIARY OF JRB, OF ITS ENTIRE 510,000 ORDINARY SHARES (“SALE SHARES”), REPRESENTING 51% OF EQUITY INTEREST IN JAKS ISLAND CIRCLE SDN BHD (“JIC”) FOR A TOTAL CASH CONSIDERATION OF RM1.00 (“DISPOSAL CONSIDERATION”) is actually to bail out the 49% non controlling shareholder as JAKS need to make impairment loss on goodwill, loan and liabilities on JIC book.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHA Where are those deluded supporters who always curse naysayers of JAKS? Are you disappointed with the results or with yourself for not believing the critics?
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
