Don't buy 1 lot (100 shares) Buy in multiples of 300 (3 lots) That is 300 or 600 or 900 ,..... so you don't get odd lots after split .

Joel 1,200 shares if 50 sen each will become 6,000 shares of 10 sen each n bonus will be at 1 for 3 where u get extra 2,000 shares as bonus which will make a total of 8,000 shares.

Bonus issue is you have 3 shares they give you one free . The 3 shares you need to buy . So now after split the price which you pay 1.60 to buy 3 shares . after bonus you will have 4 shares . also the price will be adjusted to (1.60x3)/4 = 1.20 . 300 units become 300x5 = 1500 , then every 300 you get 100 bonus shares, 1500 shares will get 500 shares . So if you buy 300 shares in the end you get 2000 shares .

Joel, don't buy 1,000 shares but buy amount which can be divided by 3 then u will not get odd lots which r very hard to sell. Buy like 300 shares, 600 shares, 900 shares, 1 200 shares n so on........ I hope u understand now

Hi tandeklon, with ur 2,500 shares u will get 12,500 shares of 10 sen each n a bonus shares of 4,166 shares of 10 sen each (1 for 3) making a total of 16,666 shares of 10 sen each. Ur odd lot is 66 shares.

Tandeklon, if u want to keep Hup Seng as investment then u either sell 100 shares to make ur holding 2,400 shares where u will get 16,000 after split n bonus issued or to buy additional 200 shares to make ur holding 2,700 shares where u will get 18,000(13500+4,500(bonus)) after split n bonus issued.........then u will not have any odd lot. I hope u understand what I'm telling u.

aeh nooniez .. better have qty that can divide by 3 to avoid kilikala shares ... ( 1 split to 5 and after that 1 bonus share for every 3 share held )
example if u have 1500 shares ... after x u got ... 10000 shares ... ok ? buy another 100 shares or sell 200 shares la ... kikikiii

Nooniez, with1400 units u will end up with odd lot. Therefore u should either sell off 200 units n left with 1,200 units or buy another 100 units to make a total of 1,500 units. As I've told earlier in this forum that the any amount of units that can be divided by 3 will not end up in odd lots like 300 units, 600 units, 900 units, 1,200 units, 1,500 units n so on.............. Congrats to u goldenhope. The reasons for people to chase after this counter r for the shares split n the bonus issued. Otherwise there is no fund at all to see n trade in this company as it is. After shares split n bonus issued there will be more shares in the market n also the price will be cheaper around 1.20 upwards n more people can afford to buy n trade. This is my opinion only. Trade at own risk.

It is true this counter was not a hot stock last time but now only people talking because of the split and bonus issue . The share price may move a bit after split but slowly after some time this thread will be very quiet again .

First timer for Hup Seng at this site. Keep this stock for long term. Do not let go. I did not know what to equate this counter but Michael Jong has aptly associated it with Nestle. Absolutely beautiful.! Once the share split and bonus issue is done, this counter will move again.Good people running this company. Kytan has said correctly - no trap here. Have faith.
