Anybody know how did Bank Pembangunan ended up with so many shares in Maybulk. They don't look like a bank that would buy quoted shares like investment bank so what gives?
Bank Pembangunan has been a major shareholder of Maybulk for many years. They are making a wrong decision to sell their holdings now as dry bulk shipping has just started to turn upwards after so many years in the doldrums.
shipping lanes busy with vessels, BDI going up but they are operating at a loss. What went wrong? Can someone pls explain. Maybe it is due to a noncommital management team. They don't earn any share in the company?
Reading Financial reports are based on historical operations happened 2-5 months ago. However, as investors and to make or avoid losing monies, we should look into the business as a whole assuming the management is professionally run.
It is only a start of the economic recovery.. this time it is from a pandemic..meaning supplies /raw materials/food need to be replenished. If we play this game right and luck is with us, the charter rates will at least maintain at this level. After the steel and coal, the soy and corn and wheat will be needed too. Those who read the recent quarterly reports correctly and ignored the non cash/non operating should be smiling now... good on you , Guys
