What a waste of Internet space.

And your own time.

Try not to keep proving yourself as successful and compare to others.

Just make your own success.

I think that is what the purpose of forum. it is not wasting a space or time. is about personal opinion. Great Depression or Crisis doesn't matter any more. It is not about Cash or Equity too. IT IS about how to save Life during this Virus WAR !!

I m very worried that the lockdown and prolonged disruption to business operations, especially small business, will cause alot of bad debts.

Can anyone here tell me if Aeoncr receivables mostly governemmt servants? If so, the impact will be minimal

I would like to remind investors that Aeoncr survived 2008 crisis.

Aeon debtors owe very small amounts, they can always pay back. Unlike mortgage loans, which are huge sums.

In fact, Aeoncr doubled its profit during the 2008 financial crisis

Aeoncr has very good management and they are extremely prudent, they are owned by one of the biggest financial companies in Japan. This is a fantastic opportunity to buy Aeoncr.

Their quarterly and yearly profits never declined, not even once. It is only the accountjng changes due to MFRS 9, that they recorded lower profits these 3 quarters. Even analysts claims that this MfRS is too prudent for Aeon.

Foker , may be shouldn't argue with them , some said great depression, some may say end of the world wahhhaha.. that might be true but because of them make every one panic selling. but I am not sure will repeat like 1920 great depression ? if it will, better option is spend more time with their family better than their money. again comparing bank to this counter ? wahahaha... loan stop for 6 month .. + in this 6 month I would said that will not have any housing loan given (WHO want to buy house at this moment) so comparing Aeoncr to Bank ? who have more issue ? whose cash flow more troble ? what expenses did Aeoncr have compare to bank ? I am not accountant or any insider but some time investor can simple use command sense to judge in next 9 months whose account will have more issue ? don;t forgot you and me now can go withdraw money from bank , because you may keep a lot of cash.. we talking about whole malaysia, but did Credit company keeping your money ?

jason, if economy falls into recession (which is likely) and the govt does not come up with a good stimulus plan to help business stay afloat, a lot of people will lose their job (if not already).

In time of crisis people will chose which obligation to pay first. If you were to chose between your house, your car or your credit card loan, most people would likely pay their house and car loan first. Credit card (and personal loan) will be the last given that it's unsecured. Worst that could happen is it will hit your credit rating.

If people start defaulting on their credit card obligation, the company has to classify that as bad debt which will hit on your P&L and balance sheet. Future cash flow will also be affected.

It has a very high loan loss coverage. It can handle mass defaults as one time off.

seems difficult how it will fare in this low interest rate environment

Posted by shareprofit > 2020-04-17 09:54 | Report Abuse

not bad for aeoncr...unlike bank, credit charge intrest charges 12-18%..more will overdue and pay in installment in crisis..lower intrest rate meaning lower cost of borrowing for aeoncr...hidden gem!

same goes to RCECAP, lower interest rate = lower cost of borrowing. Maybe national bank will cut interest rate again this year. You can see RCECAP qr since last qr, interest rate cut. Profit go up by 20%. And now interest rate cut 2 times already, even go for the third times.

Yesterday news a lot of ppl flocked to Pajak shop to loan money, same thing will happen to AeonCr. They will have more revenue and profit grow in the near future.

RCE is not a bad stock but lousy price trend and following amongst investors, aeoncr provide good growth story...diff is now stock price is back to few yrs ago but growth is powering ahead...easily 30% stock price increase by end of the year

The Board of Directors of MBSB has recommended a Single-Tier Final Dividend of 3.0 sen net per Ordinary Share for the financial year ended 31 December 2019 ("Proposed Dividend").

Based on the total number of ordinary shares issued of 6,713,401,615 as at 31 December 2019, the Proposed Dividend payable would be approximately RM201.4 million.

The Board of Directors has determined that the option to reinvest via the Dividend Reinvestment Plan ("DRP") shall apply to the entire portion of the Proposed Dividend. The approval for the Proposed Dividend will be sought at the coming Annual General Meeting.

Under DRP, shareholders will have the following options in respect of the electable portion:-

(a) elect to exercise the option and thereby reinvest the entire electable portion (or a part thereof) at the issue price of the new MBSB shares ("DRP Price") and to receive cash for the remaining portion of the dividend (in the event that only part of the electable portion is reinvested); or

(b) elect not to exercise the option to reinvest and thereby receive their entire dividend entitlement wholly in cash.

There will be no brokerage fees and other related transaction costs payable by shareholders on the new MBSB shares allotted pursuant to the DRP.

The Books Closure date in respect of the Proposed Dividend will be announced after the Annual General Meeting.

This announcement is dated 6 May 2020.
