more then that for sure with dividend also. You mark my words the ones got scared and sold off recently will regret once price shoots up again. Many funds waiting on sideline for October to pass because this is traditionally a fearful month in US. As we get closer to end October you will see buying increasing and price increase will accelerate.

It's a no brainer. The price has been severely oversold since the last q result as market fear the earnings will keep sliding into losses again which will be proven wrong. This caused price to drop from .76 to about .69. Then you had the media exagerated worker unrest factory fire which did not cause any financial impact as announced by company. This caused price to go down further from .69 to about .66. Then you recently had the global market fear which affected every counter in every stock market globally. This caused the price to drop even further from .66 to a new yearly low of .53. Global fears are now subsiding with US economic recovery. The company's 2 largest customers seagate and wd are both US based companies. Anyone buying now is buying into the start of the rebound. I have been collecting more since last Thursday.

Q3 NaV is at 55 cents. Next quarter earnings should be decent as global cloud computing growth is rapid/ exponential. Under this scenario, the company will probably declare another dividend. At current prices, PE is still under 10. The real risk at current prices is a U-turn of the US economy, sharp GDP decline in China and ASIA PAC. Though all 3 scenarios is unlikely at the moment. In the view of the considerations above it does seem that the recent selldown is overdone.

faye62118 seems to have some brains and can deduce JCY's past Q financials are not necessarily the blueprint for the future. Cannot say the same for others but I am buying today for improving results going forward.

Tks, faye, for the encouraging words. JCY was just too cheap to resist @ 55 cents and below. If it makes RM30 mil this coming Q, full year eps will be 6.1 cents which translates to pe 9x. It sure seems like a no brainer. Results will be out in 2 weeks or so.

If we buy at current price, price is lower than recent share acquisition by some directors. also, it is below esso price of 0.61, i view it as an opportunity.if drop, i wil buy.

Quite obvious someone is suppressing the price for collection and has been since last Friday. The way it was sold down yesterday afternoon was even worst then the global sell down a few weeks ago and can only be intended to freighten market into selling. Faye information has always been reliable so I do not see a problem with coming q result. If seller is really worried about coming q result, why not slowly sell off over next 2 weeks before it is announced to maximize profit. The abrupt and spontaneous massive sell down especially before closing yesterday tells me the intention was to cause a quick severe price drop to cause panic leading into the traditional Fry day (today). Time to load up on more today.

You talking about me, sage? Now that I've taken out some 2.8 mil JCY shares @ 55 cents, things should be much smoother. And since you have a change of heart, welcome to the bright side! JCY's plants are still running at high capacity to meet orders.

JCY actually declared 1 cent dividend in 4Q 2012, an exceptionally profitable year, which was paid in Jan 2013. No dividends were declared in poor financial years 2011 and 2013. If 4Q 2014 profits exceed Rm 30 mil, good chance of another 1 cent dividend. That's what longer term investors look towards in this counter, nothing much else excites when major shareholder still owns 74% with no hint of any corporate exercise.

It's called research. You will be suprised what a layman can learn about a company by looking at its competitors. The consolidation happening in the industry right now is what is going to make jcy earnings more sustainable and profitable in the future. the shear size and scale that jcy has is going to make it harder and harder for its competitors to compete. This is already starting to reflect in some of its competitors financial statements.

Yo, sage, go share your layman research findings with some institutional funds. Persuade them to buy heavily should good 4Q 2014 results be announced next week or so as it is confirmation of a positive trend. JCY sure needs a strong catalyst to boost its stock price back above 70 sen. Your research may be it. We need daily trading volumes above 10 mil to make things more interesting. Retailers can't move this relative heavy weight with public float over 500 mil shares.

Relax. The funds will be back after coming results is proven. Also about 250m of the 500m shares is already held by majority shareholders excluding the owner. so the real number of shares in circulation is about 250m.

lohman oh lohman. You have not listen to my advice from the very start.
Just listen to this one piece of advice. sit patiently and wait for the funds to come back shortly. the price will be back above .70 in the short term for sure. Insiders like your MD friend are not going to be selling because they know the earnings will improve with each quarter now. If you are too scared you better sell it off now so I can collect more at cheaper prices.

As recent as 27 Sept 2014, someone confidently predicted coming losses for JCY and that share price will fall below 40 sen within the year. Now that prediction is going to be put to the test next 4 Qs.

sage

Posted by sage > 2014-11-17 16:40 | Report Abuse

Yes and back then the share price was about .70 when you kept pushing million/billion dollar stories to convince forumners to buy at that price when I said the price was going to drop. I was right about the share price dropping. Do you think the share price will magically spring back straight away after a severe and sudden unexplained sell down? The market is freightened now (see the small volume lately) and the counter needs time before it recovers. The fears will only be allayed after the company PROVES its earnings to the market with its coming Q result announcement. Only then will you see funds coming back.

the fact of the matter is you are the one currently holding big paper losses because you did not heed my advice about the price dropping back in Sept. I have only just started accumulating and to be frank with you, I dont mind for it to fall further so I can accumulate more. But you dont need to wet your pants because it will recover beyound .70 in the short term. Just sit and watch patiently to see if Iam right again.

Ha, ha , right about all the losses in the coming quarters? The share price is a function of market sentiment and that has deteriorated since August 2014. Not surprising price has corrected. On 4 Sept, someone also said only fools will buy into this counter. MD Tan Shih Leng with 5.5 million shares was not amused.

sage

So if you knew that why have you incurred such big losses? since 4th Sept, how much has the price fallen again? so was that statement not true at the time? Can you ask MD Tan to sell all his shares to bring the price down further so I can buy more please. Both your losses are my gain.

sage

USD is only small factor. Their sales increasing due to cloud and enterprise growth but most importantly, they are using their size/scale/pricing to kill off their competitors who cannot compete on pricing because they are smaller. For example you look at notion last 3 quarters = -17 million loss. JCY last 3 quarters = 95 million profit and combined with coming quarter profit of 30m+ , you are looking at profit of 125m+ for the year (btw faye insider info is always 100% correct, you can check her previous postings against reported earnings for the last few quarters, espeically the last quarter when she said Q3 was going to be less then Q2) People do not realise JCY is the largest HDD component maker in the world and turning over 1.5 billion in revenue each year for the last 5 years without fail. Let me put it into perspective:

JCY -
last 3 Quarters Revenue = 1,404,764 Billion
Last 3 Quarters Profit = 95,194 Million Profit
Current Share price = .545

NOTION -
Last 3 Quarters Revenue = 144,097 Million
Last 3 Quarters Loss = -17 million Loss
Current share price = .48 (deemed fairly valued by RHB http://klse.i3investor.com/blogs/rhb/62562.jsp )

JCY revenue and profit is 10 x more then Notion for the last 3 quarters yet the share price is almost the same? And Notion share price is deemed fairly valued by RHB? This is why I say you should not wet your pants Mr lohman because JCY share price will make a strong come back, its only a matter of time.
