Stock is down due to poorer than expected 2Q results after a strong showing in 1Q. This is not a concern and largely due to timing of property billings with plantation filtering through nicely. Can't be a better time to load up.
This is an underresearched gem which will eventually morph into a resourced based stock. Property land bank also benefits from presence from MRT stations giving them strong pricing power and assured take ups. Don't miss the forest from the trees.
MKH paid $30.6 mils for a company that have an exclusive development right to develop approximately 550 acres of land in the District of Kuala Selangor, the land belonging to TM Facilities Sdn Bhd.
Jenny, My cost is around $2.47 and my long term TP is set around $3/$3.1 but it will depend on the CPO price as well as the company's property development performance.
15000 ha of palm oil says yield of 6 ton per ha at CPO price of 2,400...this could generate 25sen EPS. Property segment should be able to generate at least 20sen EPS historically. Total 45sen EPS at 8 times PE means share price of RM3.60 MKH is about to cross 1bil market cap.
I wonder how much MKH could make from being a main contractor (upgraded from 2rd-tier contractor after buying out Puncak Alam Resources' shareholders for 30 mil. The GDV of Hill Park Shah Alam is about 1 bil. Nevertheless it is a piece of good news. Exclusive development right on sizable land 550 acres.
Yes plantation will be a booster. But MKH has been putting lots of resources in the property recently. I like its plantation segment being an earnings 'smoother' over the years to come rather than an earnings surprise. Afterall plantation earnings are foreseen and depending on yield and CPO prices. But it will be a surprise if MKH can increase oil palm landbank to become a mid size player.
Khai Loon, I will only posted in the forum for the counters that is worth fundamental plays and for mid/long term holding only.
For long term holding I am currently holding Tambun, MKH & Kfima only, whereas for short term play counters I will not posted them in the forum cause short term trade is very subjective and I am not a short term good trader either.
Aero1, no special meaning just that I notice that looks like there are some people collecting this counter for the last few weeks, and hopefully once they collected enough then there will be a big push !!
Public bank is known to be prudent, at least relatively among the banks here. I find Public bank's retirement fund, a substantial shareholder in MKH, offer lots of comfort to me to invest in this company.
The retirement fund is managed by trustee made up entirely of the senior management of Public Bank. Has more than RM600 mil equity investment .. of course more than half is in Public Bank's shares.
Still below NTA .. 1Utama in Kajang .. potential for recurring income from property investment in retail complex, car park, hotel, offices .. If Public Bank's retirement fund can make this counter as its long term investment, why can't you? MKH shares the same thing with Public Bank .. never loss money before even during crises times .. that says tonnes of risk management and business sustainability.
