lukesharefuker, don't simply accused counter not performing as PONZI or etc. Latitud was audited by EY, are you trying to say EY auditors are corrupted or stupid to be conned by Latitud of unreal net cash of over 100mil???? pls don't be like most Malaysians of simply accus or talk rubbish.

catalist agreed cash 100mil, but why don't want to share with shareholders. Why no special dividend Keep all to themselves. WHY?? Shareholders meeting should ask why no bigger distribution rather then keep funds.

Nowadays, 100mil cash are just peanut .......they may hv their reasons to conserve cash as this Group had been cash tight for the past 20 years.
A smart n wise management would prefer to keep cash instead of distribute out all to shareholders.
when times are bad, do you think shareholders will help the company? They will dump the company.
So, I'm not surprise that the mgt would like to conserve cash now as they were quite poor(short of cash) before.
maybe they need funds to compete/fight china manufacturers setting up huge factories in Vietnam. They have to compete for raw materials, good workers and capable managers.

dividends, how much is enough ?? those shareholders bought at 1.00 and below are be very happy with 12sen and those bought at 7.00 (current /short term shareholders) are complaining.
why must the mgt reward short term shareholders???

I feel the mgt are smart enough not to be fooled by speculators to distribute out everythings and keep little for raining days.
Why must the mgt listen to speculators and been fooled by them like pohhuat and liihen ???

by not giving bonus or high dividends are just another strategies. There is no right or wrong, time will tell.....

anyway, tomorrow we will see another round of selling/getting out by speculators as the prices are still good for them to get out.........
not easy to sell 10million shares in this counter........

why many people r complaining the com dividend policy, just treat latitud a growth stock (with low p/e) even though some may say they r in sunset industry,labour intensive industry, low roe etc. they r many high dividend yield counter in bursa but surely not laittud. or maybe somebody say this counter is semi redchip counter pls give ur points and facts by saying that. latitud acc is audited by ey with outstanding acc standards. they maintain foreign exchange reserve rm83million in b/sheet but r u see in other local furniture com do so. maybe some acc expert can point out the facts.

Haha this is not sunset industry pls. Furniture just a normal type of business. Is a need for human being and wont be outdated as time pass on. Human will still need furniture such as table, chair, desk etc even 50 or 100 years later. Just that the design maybe need to change. To ensure the company keep on improving, now they ventures into downstream industry to acquire sawmill and klin dry facilities.

Ibkeat: foreign exchange reserve just a consolidation adjustment made by auditor to adjusr the retained earning to make sure prior year retained earning same with the value of retained earning in ringgit last year. Example during 2014, in vietnam account is usd100 which is rm330 in term of ringgit. Now 2015, brought forward retained earning account still usd100, but in term of ringgit, i already increase to rm430. Hence rm100 is foreign exchange reserve u understand?

Plus, the forex translation gain or loss (u see this after profit after taxation) did not included in the calculation of earning per share as it is just an adjustment to adjust the retained earning of the company.

ibkeat: Only company that have foreign entity which their subsidiary account presented in other than ringgit will have such foreign exchange translation practice. If ur subsidiary not foreign entity or their subsidiary account presented in ringgit, then wont have such thing incurred

ibkeat: Because most of the production for latitude is from Vietnam and some part from thailand, hence it incurred such a huge foreign exchange translation every single quarter. Malaysia just tiny little account. Haha

this company has not been distributing any dividend to shareholders since 2011. and with the money being reinvested back to its business, its current earning has grown 7 times if we compare to the earning they earned in 2011.... this shows that the company is very smart in managing the retained earnings to maximize shareholders' wealth...if we are to buy at the current price RM 7.35, PER =8.95x, as based on its historical share price, the highest PER that the price has ever met was at PER=6.9x, we might have to wait for quite a long time to grow our capital.
