By doing that you will end up with some Padinis and some Megans which will offset each other, leaving you with no gain.
Better do some homework and pick the Padinis or Aeon Credits.

bro eagleis whether you invest in 7 or 8 counters also depend on personal preference like whether you have the resources to do so or other factors. personally speaking 8 sounds nice because 8 sounds like
'ong' meaning prosperous !

If the consumer confidende is still there and the europe issue can walk away than Padini will not be the price as today and also even for Bonia.

how to say padini a growth stock because padini already a big cap back in 2010 with price at 5.x ... then the 5:1 bonus split it back to 1.x ... just my 2 cent ...

Padini is not a growing stock any more, it is now a grown up stock ,it's save but not much to offer, it may take one or two years to have its EPS grows to 20 sen plus region. In our market the stock with EPS in this level normally command a price of 1.60- 1.80,so how much can we expect to gain unless it's being ' goreng' . A better way is to look for stocks of about RM1.00+ with EPS about 20+ sen and having a potential to grow to 30 sen region in the future.

Planting Seeds For Future Growth
Raising TP to MYR2.09. Padini’s 9MFY6/12 net profit of MYR79.8m
was above our expectations (92% of our original estimates). 9M net
profit growth of 39% YoY was impressive, and the group continues to
surprise us with its ability to improve operating margins. We reiterate
our BUY call with a higher TP of MYR2.09 (from MYR1.70; +23%), on
upgrading our FY6/12-14 net profit forecasts by 10-17% and rolling
forward valuations.
Strong sales. 3QFY6/12 revenue of MYR176m (+19% YoY; -13%
QoQ) was strong, especially considering that the earlier Chinese New
Year in 2012 pushed some sales backwards to 2QFY6/12. YoY
revenue growth was due largely to more selling space added over the
past 12 months. EBIT margins fell 4.2ppts YoY as they normalised
following the exceptionally high 22.3% posted in 3QFY6/11, as a result
of better sell-through rates for its merchandise during that quarter.
10 new stores in FY6/12. Following the opening of new stores in
Paradigm Mall and Setia City Mall in May, the group has opened five
Brands Outlets (BO), three Padini Concept Stores (PCS), and one
Outlet Store at Johor Premium Outlet for FY6/12 todate. The last BO
earmarked for FY6/12 is slated to open on 30 Jun in Boulevard,
Kuching. We believe the aggressive store openings in FY6/12 will
generate strong revenue growth for FY6/13. However, the group has
thus far identified only one new BO for FY6/13 in Fahrenheit (KL CBD),
and we understand that the plan to open another store in Genting
Highlands has been put on hold. That said, we retain our assumptions
of two new stores each for FY6/13 and FY6/14.
Look forward to an exciting FY6/13. We raise our TP to MYR2.09
based on 12x FY6/13 PER (previously 12x CY12 PER) on (i) rolling
forward our valuations, and (ii) revising up our forecasts for FY6/12-14.
We continue to like Padini’s strong fundamentals and attractive
earnings momentum. We anticipate revenue and net profit growth of
24% and 19% for FY6/13, following the aggressive store openings in
FY6/12 i.e. 10 new stores with total retail space of c. 130,000 sq ft.

Padini indeed is a good stock. But buying a good stock at too high a price may not give us the desired profit.

You are right aunloke. Entry price play a very important role....i.e, would you buy Nestle, Public Bank, TM now? I believe uou want to wait for its price to come down a bit first.....

if u go to a stoke broking firm and a fren keeps telling u that 'i have just bought a certain stock' 20X, how do u feel. 1. he's trying to boast. 2. he's trying to influence others to support the price of this stock. 3. he has other ulterior motives. motherfxxker hooi, we have had enough of ur boasting. knock it off. stop saying that u have just bought padini @ 90 sen or whatnot. when najib announces election, padini will not have an erection. padini will drop to rm1.4. my instinct says rm1.3. i'll buy this baby on my favourite page @ RM1.2 and i'll definitely sell @ rm1.74. i m getting so fxxking sick with u. u come here to boast abt focus investing n ur money.

@kenlee. hooi's not printing $, he's boasting here. a rich man wouldn't want others to know that he's rich. only a poor man is trying very hard to tell others that he's rich.

Hooi has probably done his homework and recognise the potential in Padini. He invests, for a very long term. That is why he is not bothered with the price too much.

I think I can understand his strategy, though he has more bullets.
