There is one area I like to share here. They did some investments in ber jaya sampo. Any body here can give some clues if investment is by way of interest bearing or as equity.
Sampo is a registered shareholder of aji holding 2+ %
this is typical of Tan Seri...Vincent..when he sold BJa shares via private placement of BJA .. i believe Tan seri needs injection of capital becoz his gaming ,motor income incomes has dropped about 22% See story below..
Berjaya Corp Bhd (BCorp) recorded earnings of RM122.26mil for the second quarter ended Oct 31, 2015, a 20.1% drop from last year’s corresponding period due to lower profit contributions from its toto betting and motor distribution operations.
The decline in pre-tax profit was more drastic, with a fall of 32.5% to RM288.94mil on the back of 12.4% lower revenue of RM2.26bil.
The diversified group, with the biggest profit contributors being gaming (Sports Toto Malaysia) and the consumer product business (Cosway and others), attributed the contraction to the full effect of the deconsolidation of Mazda motor vehicle distributor Berjaya Auto Bhd (effective Dec 1, 2014) and Sports Toto’s lower profit contribution.
BCorp’s unit Berjaya Group Bhd reduced its stake in BAuto in November last year from 44.16% to 36.74% through a placement for RM192mil. Between May and November last year, Berjaya Group placed out shares amounting to a 30.46% stake in BAuto.
VT hates our MAGNI. Luckily his stake has been placed out to funds. If he sells them in the open market, MAGNI will turn to a mini. Is VT 's last block to be sold out soon ?
Dont bother abt VT. It will be better if the company without VT. FYI, VT is just a business partner with Magni, nothing connection btw Tan Sri TKP and VT.
Even big fund managers like PNB are restructuring their portfolios from the traditional index blue chips to export oriented ones eg Magni. Soon they will buy in Latitude KESM FLBhd or Chinwell which are making better profits vs previous years. This is very evident.
Also, PNB directly deals with VT and not thru open market. Any reason?
THX RosmahMansur, Confirmed, the giant fund PNB in 1 gulp walloped 7.4% stake in MAGNI from VT who is hard up for cash. PNB bought MAGNI at around yesterday's price. MAGNI's Future must be bright n wide open ...
For PE 10.37 I don't think it's overpriced. Anything from PE 10-12 can be considered fair value. Alternatively you can also EV/EBIT to determine if it's overpriced or not.
PNB now is holding 14% stake of Magni at average price RM 3.83 per piece. Which means that, that price will be the cushion level for Magni for the time being.
I am sure that any effort of a substantial share holder with Government linked holding a big piece in a small cap stock will have a very positive impact on the company. It means that the PNB is having high expectations and had fulfilled its investment requirements.
I am very certain and confident with Tan Sri TKP reassurance towards me during Magni AGM in OCt 2015 that this stock will continue to reward its shareholders in years to come.
