The Oregon-based company posted earnings of $0.68 per share, representing growth of 24% year-over-year and beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.52 per share. Though revenues grew 5% year-over-year to $8.42 billion, it fell short of the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $8.44 billion.

One of the biggest factors that caused Nike's stock to drop is that the company's future orders declined by 1%, excluding the effects of currency fluctuation. Bloomberg reported that analysts had predicted a 3.4% gain. The sportswear maker forecasted single digit revenue growth for the current quarter as well.

By category, apparel saw the strongest growth for Nike Brand, growing 9 percent on a currency-neutral basis to $2.3 billion. Footwear grew 7 percent on a currency-neutral basis to $5.3 billion. Equipment sales were down 7 percent on a currency-neutral basis to $321 million.

why is the stock price dropping? Magni-Tech has nothing to do with Nike shoes or equipments. It has got something to do with only Nike clothes.

U zoom into a particular period it looks like its going down. U zoom out to more than 1 year then u tell me what picture you see. In the short term markets are unpredictable, but in the long term with good fundamentals you see a different picture.
