have a chat with a colleague and he said solar farm in oversea are looking into reits model. Anyone heard of this? Is similar to the earlier article share by one of the forumer where ppl have no rooftop, no worries. You can buy or lease a land and install the solar panel. I can't find more article on this. Is this is true, it is big business for solar panel manufacturer.

Yes that is true even in England Solar farms are the new trend due to Government targets for green energy solar installations are paid with huge payments from the Government to private households and land owners.

Same in Germany and USA and now China due to the world commitments to green energy and pollution reduction.

All has to be very positive for any company making solar panels.

Share price of many solar companies such as First Solar and sunpower are not doing well for the past 3 months at least. I do not know the reason. What make us think that Tekseng will continue the bull and black horse as oppose to other solar companies like sunpower that is also doing solar cell.

if you know FA, look at its improvement esp the debts side, reduced a lots as compared to previous year & low PE, I am slowly accumulating this counter, now it seems like shake out period, hope to see another higher level soon.

from dragon1 comment, did a little bit research. Indeed, the market are have many solar panel manufacturer. There is more than 1 dozen listed around the world listed and not to mentioned those unlisted in the share market. But Most developed countries and developing countries under UN has has pledge in the united nation submit to have plan and implementation to address climate change by 2030. They have come out with a sustainable development goals and SDG 7 is to ensure sustainable and reliable modern energy. Solar panel fall into this category. I believed the market will be wide enough for all the player as the penetration for solar is still low.

Hence i believed the growth is in there. Also, tekseng is installing in new lines which is lower in cost compare to those company that set up 5 years ago. The cost might be more expensive due to new technology. If you familiar with sony & samsung story, i believed it is the same. The pioneer pump in alot money in R&D and before it can recoup, someone else come and ride the bandwagon and improvise it. They do not have enough time to recoup their investment.

The share price just spike for the first 30mins after the result day. From there on, it keeps decreasing. Common sense will tell, retailers are so powerful? Do you belive you yourself can sell it down to this extend if is not done by the Funds.

i do not know about their order books because i have no visibikity. But others solar companies share price have reflected it? Do u believe tekseng is more high tech and lower cost than them? Can sell better to their customer? Who is their customers?

hi dragon 1, thanks for the comment and it is a valid point. Anyway, will wait for August sales results since it only few more days to go. Also, tekseng 3rd Q PVC sales is always much higher than the rest of the Q. So, will it able to compensate the lower revenue for solar as what the 2Q did. Something to think about.

Everyone in the industries can & have to push up their capacity to get larger economy of scale and thus lower cost of production per unit.

When supplies up faster than the increase in demand, price war is unavoidable.

Same goes to Glove industries & Egg market.
