Frankly speaking guys…I assume Minetec has news very soon especially on renewable energy for Data Centres because Minetec is the first company building solar systems in Malaysia on utilising floatation devices on a pond.
Minetec will get the contract for building solar power panels for the DC who needs huge power.
Beside civil engineering works & RE, MRB also charting in new territories in telecommunications & trans-border logistics in Sabah & Sarawak. For telecommunications will be on digital infrastructure. For trans-border operations, the emphasis is on green logistics rather than conventional logistics.
Folks, Premier emphasized the government’s proactive approach towards Sarawak’s digital future, aiming to become a leading digital economy and society by 2030.
Premier highlighted the need for 7,000 telecommunication towers (estimated to costs Rm4+bil) to achieve 99.9% Internet penetration statewide.
Presently, 3,856 towers are completed, and 761 more will be built by the end of this year, with the rest slated for completion before 2030.
Sarawak government is collaborating with the private sector to establish eco-friendly green data centers, vital for the digital economy’s growth.
DC will be coming up like mushrooms but they need power electricity to run 24 hours and only way to get cheaper power is to install solar power systems … the DC can make use of hundreds pool by using floating solar devices to generate energy.
So Minetech is the first company doing that business and will become multi billion company in near future 😎✅
Sarawak can look forward to better Internet connectivity following the launch of a new submarine cable to Singapore via Batam & a Tier IV data centre in the state.
The Batam Sarawak Internet cable system (Basics) & data centre would be an important part of the digitalisation equation to improve Internet connectivity in Sarawak, especially in rural areas.
With this INFRASTRUCTURE, latency issues like hanging and being unable to connect will be a thing of the past.
Both facilities were privately developed by Kuching-based Irix Sdn Bhd.
So will Abg pump in Irix sdn bhd into Menitech?...Abg is also the Chairman of Irix.
