When you have buybacks, contract wins, successful handover and a perpetual bond guarantee, that is a recipe for success.

Yinson could win second FPSO project in Ghana after LOI award
RHB Research Institute
/
The Edge Financial Daily

February 25, 2020 10:23 am +08
This article first appeared in The Edge Financial Daily, on February 25, 2020.

Yinson Holdings Bhd
(Feb 24, RM7.04)
Maintain buy with a target price (TP) of RM8.22: Yinson Holdings Bhd has been awarded the letter of intent (LOI) for the Pecan floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) project, conditional to approvals including the Ghanaian authorities’.

We estimate this project to add RM1.55 per share before a share dilution to our TP. If Yinson secures this job and the Parque das Baleias project in Brazil — forthcoming in a few months — the company is likely required to raise equity funding of RM500 million to RM1 billion, potentially leading to a higher share base of 7% to 14%.

We are positive about the LOI award as it marks a potential second FPSO project win for Yinson in Ghana. According to global oil, gas and energy news resource Upstream, the FPSO’s capacity is 110,000 barrels of oil per day (bpd), 110 million cubic feet of gas per day and 200,000bpd of produced water with a storage capacity up to 1.6 million barrels.

Based on our back-of-envelope calculations, assuming a US$900 million (RM3.8 billion) capital expenditure (capex) and an internal rate of return (IRR) of 15%, the implied daily charter rate could be around US$606,000 per day, quite similar to the FPSO JAK. With that, the total contract could be worth US$2.9 billion. We understand Yinson had yet to finalise the financing structure but is likely to hold a 100% equity stake in this project.

Our forecasts are maintained pending the LOI’s conditions to be met. Take note the Pecan project could add RM1.55 per share before a share dilution to our TP assuming a US$900 million capex, a 15% IRR and a debt-to-equity ratio of 80:20. This brings our TP to RM9.77, fetching the upside to 37%.

Our TP would then be adjusted to RM8.65 to RM9.17 (reducing upside to 22% to 29%), assuming a 7% to 14% higher share base to raise RM500 million to RM1 billion in cash. Risks include contract terminations and unable to secure new jobs. — RHB Research Institute, Feb 24

Remember Yinson is not a wonderful company loh...most of their client production cost above USD 40...u think they don play tricks on yinson in order to survive loh ??

Some more Alot of Yinson project are at preliminary pre production stage with no income (meaning yinson spend on huge capex but customer just relax loh!} thus it is no brainer to just cut or defer on these contracts mah....!!

As yinson is overvalue...u know what is going to happen on its share price going forward loh...!!

Run b4 EPF stop buying mah....!!

Just remember Armada also know how to structure contract previously b4 crude oil price collapse, but in the end the customer always look at any area & loopholes that they can escape from the contract obligation, when they knew they will lose monies if they honor the contract mah...!!

The same thing will apply to this Yinson this time mah....be prepare for potential impairment losses due to contract termination coming soon loh..!!

The key is, can yinson survive, after signing & borrowing billions to build fpso, when their customer refuse to honor leh ??

Very dangerous situation for yinson mah....!!

Yinson goes play on world highsea

With oil below production cost many countries won't be able to make payment to Yinson

Like lcl going bankrupt in middle East and Sendie holding IOU(receivables ) Yinson will suffer the same fate of payment default

After Zelan Rm300 million gone up in a puff of smoke in Meena Plaza next might be Yinson

At such lofty price time to sell all Yinson and leave early

Going to break Rm6.00 support soon

In a world of collapse, insilvency, bankruptcy and default our paymaster is of utmost importance

If oil entities default from paying Yinson then game over just like so many ship wrecked on world high seas like Lcl, Ezra, Swibor and others

Go sell Yinson and buy T7 global

At least the payments are proven safe like Petronas Carigali , Vestigo , Repsol and others

Even if thr r contracts signed but when oil prices so low oil majors r making losses at gross level that is to say wil incur a loss for every sales made

Not sustainable oil majors wil hv no cash to pay Yinson

Yinson wil go Armada's way

Death by thousands impairment

Pathetic fallacy

Sorry to disappoint you Calvin. But a few simple details that differentiate yinson from NETX.

1. Netx had no NFCP contract. YINSON already has the contract, a 25 years orderbook. Prepayment to them to convert vessel into a fpso, a history of winning contracts every year using their European subsidiary which is a master builder and ships built cheap in Costco.

2. YINSON has the faith of epf and government support in buying their perpetual securities worth billions, where they only have to service the debt payments every year of 7+%, and repayment of principal after 999 years. NETX can't even qualify for a bank loan, much less institutional shareholders.

3. Yinson is an international company. Netx is a joke.

4. Yinson just did 1.855 billion in revenue in a quarter, after the recognition of FPSO helang lease, which is their maiden project into Malaysia. Funny how a Malaysian company decided to conquer internationally then come back to Malaysia to pick up projects here.

5. YINSON is so successful Japanese investors paid them 500 million to buy a share of their FPSO, knowing that their profit is based on daily charter instead of oil barrel price.

6. Did I mention yinson locked in 1.8 billion of revenue in a quarter? While netx entire quarter only registered 33k of revenue in 3 months.

I have increased my maximum margin at these prices as I believe the stimulus package of 3T from fed reserve and 40 billion from malaysia reserve will be enough to stabilize the economy, and the virus will be combated soon. With the reality that this is not a world killing virus, and that the short isolation will be good for the human race in the long run, confidence will be back with a vengeance and the discount prices will be gone soon enough.

Although I don’t hv Yinson anymore I am perturbed by why you kept promoting T7 n kept insinuating that Yinson could go bankrupt . If Yinson go bankrupt many other companies could have hit bankruptcy even earlier .
Yes Yinson could go below 4 anything is possible but if it really bankrupts many others would hv lined up in front . Most important pray this Covid thing w be over soon .
Yinson has v v v good track record n contracts are secured not just speculations . The only risk is as you rightly say non payment from counterparty ? Well if recession happens anything is possible . If strong co like Yinson can’t ride thru this period then I can’t imagine many other smaller ones .
