Today VS down from RM 1.67 to RM 0.995, a sharp drop due to Andy Hall and ILO forced labour allegations, why our government immigration allows him to enter Malaysia to destroy our industry good reputation..
“We are still the biggest contract manufacturer for our main customer as we do the most in terms of percentage, manufacturing the widest range of products for them compared with our competitors. Our manufacturing capabilities are very well integrated,” ATA executive chairman Datuk Seri James Foo tells The Edge in an exclusive interview.
"Now, we have ODM (original design manufacturing), meaning we design products for customers by working with them. We understand their needs and requirements and we develop and design products for them. We have the ability to understand the technical aspects of their requirements".
We have a strong sourcing and supply chain team. A UK-based high-tech home appliance brand is said to be developing a technologies for solid state batteries which uses solid electrolytes and electrodes, rather than liquid or polymer gel electrolytes found in lithium-ion or lithium-polymer batteries. It is said to have a higher energy density than a lithium-ion battery.
To further improve ATA integrated manufacturing capabilities, Foo reveals that his private company, Microtronics Technology Sdn Bhd, will be merged with the group. Microtronics is involved in the manufacturing of battery packs and assembly of printed circuit boards.
Microtronics undertook battery pack manufacturing two years ago. At the same time, Microtronics is undertaking printed circuit board assembly and now has 15 lines dedicated to this segment. The merger will see the enlarged group have more manufacturing capabilities and be able to increase its margins.
Dyson terminate ATA (BIG EMS) ---> Dyson Supply & Operation Disruption ----> Dyson customer ANGRY ----> Dyson revenue decline / competitor capture their market share ----> Dyson INVESTORS VERY ANGRY ----> Dyson forgive ATA -----> Dyson & ATA Problem solved -----> Share price Rebound??
The only Win-Win situation for both side is that ATA to clarify the 'possible misunderstanding', then Dyson to accept their explanation and everything returns to normal.
If ATA really that bad to its worker, you think Dyson can escape the responsibility after using the EMS for so many years? Dyson never review/ monitor their supplier ka??
Business ma. Who wants to kacau their own business?
Small issue, big fuss ----> Market overacted.
Let's see how the market/ shareholder respond to the issue on Monday, after they Cool Down / Recover from Panic Attack.
Andy Hall, ILO charged forced labour allegations on EMS industries, first victim Ataims, then now VS, next shouks be SKP... trade cautiously on Monday morning..
Some one suggested the only way to make those poor but ungrateful migrant workers happy is to grant them all the citizenship of Malaysia and to treat them with Bumiputra status, so no more worries from migrant workers to complain about forced labour allegations issues to Andy Hall and ILO forever, at the same time no more shortage of people working in Plantation, Glove, EMS, Construction sectors, isn't it perfect solution..
If our Malaysian government thinking that migrant workers complaining abuse and forced labour allegations are true, then we Malaysians are cruel and heartless people who likes to abuse migrant workers now and then..
With the forced labour issues haunting glove manufacturers then now targeting ATAIMs n VS, it is obvious huge manufacturers rely too much on migrant workers n it looks like they r more likely to file complaints to those international/ US/ U.K. labour organisations than 4-5 years ago … The top management of many local manufacturers should speed up the process of more automation in production n hire more local employees… The government n Human resource ministry should look into the existed problems n giving some guidance to those large size manufacturers…
Since our migrant workers have God father Andy Hall and protected under ILO, our government cannot take action against them otherwise they will attack Malaysia have no respect for human rights so we must be humble to them like they are our boss in Malaysia..
foreign worker are getting bigger head, they got their demand with top glove, now their counterpart attacking others industries, hoping for some money from their employer.
Sure, these ungrateful migrant workers knows that Ataims have RM 330 millions cash on hand, so they want these lum sum of money should be given to them and Andy Hall and ILO for them to withdraw the forced labour allegations and declaring Ataims is respecting human rights and take good care of the migrant workers..
