Just to share an insider views with you all. Construction now need mega projects to be directly awarded to local players, mega project like ECRL only left bones for local players. That is why so far no huge portions of ECRL are awarded to local players. Wct is lucky to have a big boss supplying contracts for them to hang on.... We need to see mega projects start to move again. If you can hold for 2 to 3 years, construction is good buy, because they all are very cheap. If you want to play short term, better don't touch construction.
@Sharefisher: Because mentioned in the announcement, the initial awarded claim amount is QAR158 mil, now after negotiation, the settlement amount reduced to QAR115 mil.
"Vaccine in the House" .Just full loaded this counter on this because of it current undervalue price with the following reasons: 1) WCT involve 3 sectors of business that is engineering construction , property development and Property investment and management. 2) Engineering construction sector current order book was RM 6 bil expect to keep company busy for next 3 to 4 years workload without need any additional project. However , the company current tender book value is RM6.2bil will give bonus to company if any successful tender project. 3) Property development sector currently develop in Paradigm residences(Construction progress 9% with 68% units sold rate)Johor and Aronia Klang(Construction progress 54% with 39% units sold rate). 4) Property investment sector currently have 3nos or retail mall located in Klang , Petaling Jaya and Johor Bahru with Occupancy rate more than 95% as at june2020. Besides this , WCT also have KLIA gateway with occupancy rate 94% and Subang terminal with occupancy rate 90%. All of these are golden goose for the company and create recurring income to company. 5) Net tangible asset of WCT worth RM2.23 and now current share price was RM0.46 is ridiculous under value.
Conclusion : Extremely undervalue GEMS once the Malaysians are vaccinated , this WCT will be superstar flying to the moon with minimum TP RM1.50
Hi Tumbler, yes very good analysis. I bought based on the same reasons you highlighted. 2 more points. The investment properties can be formed as a REIT either by itself or merge with Pavilion Reits. One more catalyst would be the Billion award winning in UAE which i believe somehow WCT will be able to collect in future perhaps smaller amount. Very undervalued. Good proxy for Covid2019 recovery
I think PN need to build the market feel good factor before calling for election. Now is to put covid under control, then push development projects out..... If PN really want to win the election.
