Both interim and special dividends increased to total 40.31 cents or equivalent to Dividend Yield 5.7%. Not easy to find a solid growth company paying such a high dividends.

It's obviously that dividends payout increasing sharply in the past few years:

2016 - 40.31 cents
2015 - 32.2 cents
2014 - 17.25 cents
2013 - 8.3 cents
2012 - 7.46 cents

Alarming. The number of shares is increased to 70.1% from 56% by Temasek as the major shareholders. The net profit is 100% diluted in future. That also means share price will drop soon.

There is no indication of an impeding bonus issue.

It is however clear that the controlling shareholder, Temasek, intends to maintain a generous (unwritten) dividend policy, Temasek after all owns 73% of the ordinary shares.

This Singapore sovereign fund's role of controlling shareholder instills confidence of good corporate governance and competent management.

Aircraft components require the highest quality and safety standards to the extent that aircraft manufacturers are willing to pay a premium in pricing.

SAM's strong order book of RM3.5 billion (as at May 2016) is testimony of this.

Comments from a source:

1. current paid up capital is RM125 Million or USD30 million.
2. This is too low to be acceptable as sizeable company when they tender for contracts from BIG boys.
3. Historically SAM gets their contracts from Temasek and Temasek is the party tendering the contracts (see the value of RPT in the Annual report)
4. SAM may undertake a bigger Bonus Issue to reflect its inflated shareholders funds and the size of the company today.
5. Upon the bouns issue the target paid up is USD100 million or RM400 million.
6. If Temasek did not convert its ICULS they will lose out as the proposed bonus may be more than 3 for 1. (ICULS conversion price can never be lower than 1.00 if the bonus is more than 2.1 for 1).

SAM has been trading above its upward sloping 20-Day Moving Average which is a good sign. In addition, the price just broke the resistance of 7.5 reinforcing the bullishness in the recent price movement. This breakout was accompanied by a higher than average traded volume which shows the enthusiasm of the traders to push the price higher and past this resistance hence giving a higher probability of a successful breakout.
