hi there! anybody knows why gasmsia counter suddenly jumped so high? saw the transaction whole day, unbelieveable. price pushed so high. total volume on this single day can oust a normal one month volume movement!

thanks lisalu, i already read the report and the tariff thats why i bought it, but since the china share collapse and the oil price dropped, it went down very much after. also this low volume counter suddenly spiked with great volume last few days. just wondering the reason so i can learn a bit. Thanks

contoh impairment loss untuk trade receivable adalah syarikat yang berhutang TAK boleh bayar kerana jatuh bankrup atau Ada kemungkinan bankruptcy .. Mungkin jugak trade receivable Ada masalah tuntutan Di mahkamah Dan kemungkinan TAK boleh tuntut hutang itu Dan banyak lagi peristiwa lain Dan ianya lebih teruk Dari provision for doubtful debt.. Yang penting gas Malaysia mesti disclosed dlm financial statment kenapa impairment ini terjadi Dan siapalah syarikat yang TAK dapat bayar hutang tu...

however why some comapny issue RI will make the share price fly instaed of drop one ?
example got ccmdbio and last time magnum issued RI also make the share price rocket ?

Right Issue adalah satu cara untuk mendapat pembiayaan yang murah dan mudah dengan menawarkan saham baru kepada existing shareholder,dengan mengeluarkan RI menjadikan jumlah Share bertambah dan berkemungkinan besar pendapatan pershare atau erning pershare akan mengecil dan berkurang ini akan menjadikan share price juga akan jatuh bersesuain dengan % share yang dikeluarkan. walaubaimanapun RI dikeluarkan untuk megembangkan perniagaan syarikat dan membayar hutang yang mempunyai Cost of finance yang tinggi, jika pelabur melihat dengan adanya RI ini sayrikat akan lebih berkembang maju dan keuntungan masa hadapan akan bertambah dengan baik maka pelabur akan lebih yakin terhadap syarikat dan akan menjadikan value of company increase dan dengan itu saham syarikat juga akan meningkat. itu secara tieory lah.. walaupun begitu saham boleh naik dan jatuh walau ada apa2 peristiwa pun... harap2 tuan boleh terima pendapat saya ini ....

what is the long term outlook for this counter?

it own an extensive gas pipeline (retail) going into properties in few cities now. something petgas or petdag doesn't have. it still buy gas from petgas I suppose. how is the game when it can buy gas directly from global producers.

Gas Malaysia Bhd's net profit climbed 28.1% to RM43.2 million in the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2016 (3QFY16) from RM33.72 million a year ago, as it saw higher gross profit from more gas sold.

The higher gross profit, the group said, is in line with the increase in volume of gas sold and assets contributed by customers.

Its quarterly revenue rose 19.23% to RM1.07 billion compared with RM895.5 million a year ago.

"This (the group's revenue) was mainly due to upward revision of natural gas tariff which took effect on July 15, 2016, and higher volume of gas sold in the current quarter," it added.
