@ZaiZai, Sebastian is back.. .nama pun Sted Power ... mmg power haha... sebastian, who is uncle Ooi? OTB ah?
btw, "illegal build" depends on the context ... our country, legally build with local council permit and lesen also kena tear down by citizens yg di brainwash... say its illegal.. this is always a chicken and egg situation - "why no full bar coverage? ... build tower bila sudah dapat full bar... then says its illegal pula.. tear down again.."... pening..
@rkgfantasy bro, betul... Q4 sure power earnings punya. traditional. itu TNS (bukan bad word punya version laa..) akan turbo boost earnings..
can anyone explain why last time the quarter result is quite even, but this few years have so much different ? Is that because TNS only pay annual fee at that quater ?
Sebastian bro, good to know I have kaki to teman me to 2020... cunz.
rkgbro, again, traditionally, Telco operators will ramp up BTS site builds towards the end of the year punya. I suspect it's because they will "suddenly" realize "oh CEO announced rm2bil for network upgrade this year, but we only use 1bil so far... let's ramp up!" year in year out same pattern. go figure. so when u suddenly have so many new sites built, u also need engineers to fine tune and ensure site perform as per expectations, hence the sudden surge in TNS requirements...
oh rkg , if your question meant why y-o-y revenue so different last 1-2yrs, .. it's the overseas expansion of course... earnings from myanmar and SEATH Vietnam...
nope, your first comment answer my question, haha... but it make me feel not so secure after your answer ~ TNS is on struggle now, due to spectrum fee, if they don’t have enough budget, OCK flat nett profit wil present is a Quater Result Bomb hehe Time will prove, I’m just 9x, much thing to learn
alamak, <slap my own forehead> sori Sebastian, me sudah nyanyuk sikit.. hahaha.. i usually refer to him as Sam... Sam Ooi.. LOL.. so when u said uncle Ooi... i tot u meant OTB, KYY's partner.. LOL..
rkg bro, let me try to calm down your insecurity. - TNS is a constant service that will be required, whether or not new built site. e.g.: new building up, blocks line of sight, BTS has to relocate. TNS new mall up. In building system commisioning. TNS spectrum allocated, refarming of frequency. TNS.
spectrum wise, all the major telco by hook or by crook will sure have the money required. - borrow from banks mah... without spectrum, no business leh telcos...
btw, can share why do you say TNS is on struggle now?
what i mean TNS is struggle now, is because of OPR gonna raise next years, i think 2 time at least ? people love to invest on TNS because of it business can generate stable income as dividend if OPR raise, mean FD and Bond Interest also will raise, TNS PE will be go low than now im not sure is that true, i read book and they say like this, only time can prove
uptrending sifu who is that Value CXX? I cannot find the name you mentioned in AR. Can you mention more specific?
uptrending Not to forget that on the last trading dayof last year, the share price was pushed up to 1.90 on high vol of approx 5-7 millions...The buyer ? suspected was Value CXX as it increased its share holding substantially as seen from AR 17 and AR16.. 24/11/2017 08:41
rkg bro, when i say TNS, in OCK's report it means telcommunication network services. i.e. optimization, RF design, drive test, etc..
these are services provided to telco operators (umob/digi/maxis/celcom etc). these are revenue to OCK....
hope this clarifies...
patut laa i macam lost when u say TNS is struggle now.. when in fact TNS portion contributed significantly to the circa 26.3% jump in contribution to OCK's Q3 report. ...LOL...
excerpt from one of the "analyst report":
OCK's 3Q2017 net profit gained 26.3% Y.o.Y to RM6.9 mln, lifted by higher contributions from its telecommunication network services segment, particularly from the Myanmar venture, coupled with the consolidation of newly acquired South East Asia Telecommunication Holdings Pte Ltd's (SEATH) earnings. Revenue for the quarter grew 22.9% Y.o.Y to RM125.2 mln.
the telco operators struggle now is because of the price throwing of their offerings... ARPU drops..
haha.. sorry, i’m just beginner and don’t really understand english ~ but i using cash to invest, so i could sleep well no matter price up or down hehe just wait and see the next quater result
no worries rkgfantasy bro, its not that you dun understand english.. just the misinterpretation je... rileks... we are all learning at some point anyways..
wow cash investor.. rkg loaded nih... :-)
"Mary Christmas and happy new years bros and sis ! " (pun intended) , LOL.
it so obviously someone is absorb the share dispose by the director... i KIV everyday the movement, every time big seller appear, than mystery appear i dont think retailer will buy 1000 lot 1000 lot at OCK
Telenor Myanmar pays USD 80 million to double its 4G spectrum capacity
•First mobile operator in Myanmar to exercise option of acquiring additional 1800MHz spectrum •Investing more in ultramodern network for delivering best customer experience
15thDecember 2017, Yangon –Telenor Myanmar will invest USD 80 million in Myanmar to acquire additional 2X10 MHz spectrum in the 1800MHz frequency band. The company will also optimize its network to continuously deliver consistent and improved 4G data experience.
“Myanmar has shown an exceptional hunger for mobile data, and to meet the incredible demand Telenor continues investing in a state-of-the-art network. Today, we are doubling our capacity for delivering high-quality 4G services, resulting in an immediate benefit for our customers who will experience smoother internet services and better indoor coverage,” said Lars Erik Tellmann, Chief Executive Officer at Telenor Myanmar.
In May 2017, Telenor was allocated its first 2X10MHz of 1800MHz spectrum for USD 80 million. In that process, all operators were given an option to acquire additional spectrum on a first come first served basis. Telenor is the first operator in Myanmar that exercise the right to obtain more spectrum, providing a solid spectrum position to support roll out of “real 4G” services.
During the last six months, Telenor has rapidly deployed its 4G network and by the end of 2017 the company expect to cover Myanmar’s top 50 cities and most famous destinations. This means that 2/3 of the country’s urban population is already living within the company’s 4G footprint. In addition, tests conducted by Open Signal, the world’s largest crowdsourcing services for network quality, shows that Telenor also has the best 3G network quality in Myanmar.
“Myanmar has clear ambitions ofaccelerating its digital economy, and I believe that increased deployment of an ultramodern mobile infrastructure will support Myanmar in its digital transformation. As one of the largest foreign investors in Myanmar we continue efforts to provide a digital platform that enrich people’s lives, enable new business development and help attract potential foreign investment,” Tellmann said.
Telenor is one of Myanmar’s largest foreign investors and have so far invested over USD 2 billion since entering the country in 2013. Telenor today operates Myanmar’s largest and fastest growing data network spanning close to 8,000 sites nationwide, serving more than 19 million customers in all states, regions and the union territory.
