Chin Hin Q2 2019 Report on SolarTech:
Share of profit of associate companies has increased incredibly by RM2.75 million from a loss of RM0.74
million in the preceding year corresponding quarter. The increased were contributed significantly by the Net
Energy Metering (“NEM”) roof-top projects i.e. retrofitted solar PV system and Building-Integrated PV (“BIPV”)
system especially from the industrial and self-consumption sector. In addition, the increased also contributed
by the three large scale solar photovoltaic (“LSSPV 2”) subcontracting projects work worth a total value of
RM158.07 million, 38.7 MWp DC solar farm located in Perak scheduled to be completed by the last quarter
of 2019.

RM2.75 mil X 4Q = RM 10 mil projected net profit for a year. RM 10 mil / 390 mil shares = RM0.0282 . Not much net profit compared to IPO price of RM 0.35.

adding to the comments by lch6188: "Net profit margin slowing down" Solarvest has been tendering for large scale solar plant projects where competitions from domestic and foreign companies are more intense, and hence a lower margin should be viewed as an investment in building its reputation and track record in delivering large scale solar plants and hence contributes to the chance of success to work with its partners both domestically and in Taiwan and Vietnam.

Conclusion
Solarvest has achieved substantial growth as it undertakes more LSSPV projects starting in FY 2018. This resulted in an impressive growth in its earnings.

Presently, Solarvest’s unbilled order book stands at RM 200.1 million where most of them consists of three large LSSPV projects stated in Point 6. Its future financial results depends greatly on the management’s ability to secure new LSSPV projects in the future.

In my opinion, Solarvest has a consistent track record of the increased delivery of the solar PV systems over the past years. Coupled with the management team’s skin in the game, Solarvest may well become a multi-bagger stock in time to come.

Outlook
As of 31 August 2019, the group has an unbilled order book of RM200.1mn,
(RM100.8mn for residential, commercial and industrial projects, RM83.1mn for
LSSPV projects and the remaining RM16.2mn for others). We estimate this
unbilled order book could provide earnings visibility to the group for the next
12 months.
Protégé Associates, the independent market researcher, expects the outlook
for the solar PV industry in Malaysia to be positive moving forward. The total
solar PV installed capacity in Malaysia stood at 438MWp in 2018, and is
projected to grow to 3,322MW by 2023, representing a CAGR of 50.0%
throughout the period. Factors driving the rapid growth in the solar PV
industry is set to come from the government-led tariff selling programmes.
These include net energy metering programme, the LSSPV programme,
alongside a supply agreement for renewable energy.
Additionally, the Malaysian government is committed towards driving the solar
PV industry in the long term, with its inclusion in the ASEAN Remap, where it
is targeting to achieve a total solar PV installed capacity of 5,800MW by 2025.

i know someone from the company, its a very well-run and managed company. management still have majority ownership of the company after listing, this shows their COMMITMENT to grow and company.

now a small company, once the company scale their business after listing, more and more insti funds will invest into the company and drive the share price UP! potentially a multi bagger! subscribe the IPO before all the big sharks drive up the price later!

Shrinking margin because they going big on LSS, as reported by the Star:


"It is worth noting that the solar EPCC player’s gross profit margin has declined to 20% in FY19, as compared with 37% in FY18.

Chong says that the company’s gross profit margin will likely hover in the range of 20% moving forward, as Solarvest plans to go big into LSS projects.

“Large-scale solar projects typically carries lower profit margin. But, we plan to participate more in such projects as they are volume-game in nature and offer higher revenue as compared to our rooftop installations on buildings. "



Maintaining 20% while Solarvest are making a ROE of 35%, HOW MANY COMPANY CAN DO SUCH ROE IN BURSA MALAYSIA? Dont just look at numbers, many times qualitative matters make the most difference.
