Just saw the news 😅 The upcoming listing company, Evergreen Max Cash Capital Bhd, is also Mersec's customer. This company's earnings must be very lucrative
@LaoHaidi. Pursuant to the launch of Mercury Securities' prospectus, applications for the public issue are open from August 28 and will close on September 5, 2023, at 5:00 p.m.
mercury revenue should be up after include the placement fees from evergreen max cash since theyre incharge for evergreen ipo listing...bursa market also going up for this month so revenue from brokerage should be better than early of this year
Because people were actively doing online trading during 2020 and 2021 due to the gloves sentiment. So, compared to this high base period, it will slow down a bit, BDragon
BDragon...eventhou i would be happy if u didnt apply this ipo coz got 1 less competitor, i still want to clarify some things...did u know that brokerage sector PE now around 19.9...so mercury even if u calculate the forward PE still fairly price compare to the sector PE...and u cannot compare revenue from 2020-2021...those are special case coz during covid all brokerage company revenue shoot up...and now all of them are back to normal revenue before covid including mercury...mercury strength is in their PAT and strong cash reserved (no debt)...and with this ipo proceeds they can boost their profit more thru margin financing...margin financing give high profit with lesser cost....almost 37% of their profit come from margin financing and if they have more money from ipo to use for this margin financing, i believe their profit will increase more in the future...and not to mention this sector considered 1 of the hot sector now..just look at their closest peer APEX now traded at PE 37.
Max. By "hot" sector, I think you mean share prices/multiples that have been pushed up beyond fundamentals, given the Bursa transaction value is, as you say, coming off.
When I mentioned the prior periods, the message is to use the latest (lower) EPS to calculate the P/E, rather than the 12.4x used by one of the commentors, which is based on the prior (higher) EPS.
If the Bursa transaction value is declining, I think great profit margin will not matter much in such case as EPS will still decline, as also indicated by the latest half-yearly result. Also, in a declining market, I wonder how much additional revenue the company can generate with the extra cash raised from IPO. I also do not think no cash is something to cheer about from a capital structure point of view.
BDragon..25 sen is much more cheaper if u compare to its closest peers apex securities (PE 37) and M&A (PE 29)…the up and down in revenue is normal for brokerage company bcoz their revenue mostly depend on the market..and i believe the market starting to go up already since july..this will give some boost to their revenue..not to mention they have strong cash assets with zero debt…and also their net profit is very good and very high 40% average..their revenue not come from brokerage only, they also do margin financing and corporate finance which give alot of profit with lesser cost..and most of their ipo proceed is for their business activity (expanding)..based on this facts, i believe their shares price is fairly value..i will subscribe their ipo for sure and it doesnt worry me at all..i mean even KGW IPO with the worst fundamental also managed to give me profit 13%..so why should i be worried about mercury ipo which hv far better fundamental compare to KGW IPO?
Can anyone shed light what happens to Mercury's CF team? It's not clear whether TA is saying the prior team is gone or they think Mercury need an additional CF team to drive CF revenue growth.
EatCoconut…28 sen still profit..TA give glostrext ipo 15% upside only but look at it on the first day listing..for me mercury is low risk high return ipo.
Bdragon..if im not mistaken 1 of their cf team resign but they still got 3 more cf team to run the business and more cf team will coming soon
EatCoconut..its not bad review..still give 12% upside..where got bad? U buy stock at open market is more risky than buy ipo..ipo is low risk investment…u need to read their prospektus on what is their strength..basically company with zero debt and cash rich
Never try never know. Someone even vainly tried to reduce the number of subscribers by saying this company doesn't have growth 🤣 That person obviously didn't read any reports or prospectus
Don't bother, that person sure curi-curi subscribing this IPO. Now it's very easy to subscribe one IPO, just login to PBB or Maybank online banking and apply, no need to go to ATM anymore
