There is a note though that local institutions and players are selling. This makes me believe even more that buying will continue even after election because funds are utilized outside of US, China and Europe especially. Please trade at own risk. https://www.dropbox.com/s/miyx42l1o70t3tz/www.midf.com.my-images-pdf-research-Report-Malaysia-Equity-Strategy-2012-Fund%20Flow%20Report_Week%20July13_MIDF%20-%2016%20July%202012.pdf.png

Many people gullible here. with low yield and high PE they would also buy in believing in the Goreng Pisang Untung Banyak pitch! your name will carry it through! hehehehe just joking!

Hi KC, am a little surprise that you're into protasco - the price is still at the level that dali recommended 2 years ago and also they're into Libya and syria - definitely not a good combination. Have to admit that I Did not read too much into the details about this company but I figure you're into long term :)By the way I can be your suppiler for pisangs to your about to form company :)

stock chart looks ok to me from what i can see. the volume i am dealing, i am just looking for about a 15-20 sens movement for this. and yes, i read about their losses in Libya especially, but looks to have that contained. Their PE and DY should probably give me some leg to hit RM1 at least. margin of safety factored in, so i will just hang in there!

good morning all, first subscribing member of the GPUBB clocking in. Look - KC, Chong, Ooi, Najib and some others do make good sense, value stocks for money, invest wisely, dont chase after false gold, the 'curse' of the mankind is greed, greed, short cuts and all this. When market gets hot and hotter, lots of punters throw caution to the wind and if they are fortunate enough to be at the start, they do make some, but most get moving at the tail end and lose badly. When I first started, listened to rumours, hot news of takeovers, mergers, etc. and did get taken in (some remisiers were also heating up the market). We didnt have forums/blogs such as these. Now we have good and sincere people who are willing to share inputs, experiences, teaching, and I think we are now not so gullible. So, syabas to you all, and thanks for the teaching, patience and guidance.

glomac1, can you confirm where you read this 1.1% buyback? i would love to have a black & white on it for record purposes. It means another 8.9% to go (as normally allowed under company's resolutions), and would like to calculate how much they have paid for the 1.1% share buyback. thx in advance.

TO KC about GLOMAC, I am not GLOMAC1, I am Taugeh lah..just trying to help out..hahaha

The SHARE SPLITED ON 11/10/2011

The share split from 1.46 (10/10/2011) and up immediately to 0.83 (13/10/2011) and ding-dong ding-dong until now.

I guess GLOMAC will continue to buy back and accumulate another 40 million shares (it only took them a year to do - look at the figure from the date sold 4/5/2012 and dated back to 3/5/2011 )

They will slowly push the price up to 1.00-1.20 or 1.20-1.40? Then it will split again. Who will buy? Tabung Haji again. hahah..It seems that only Tabung Haji will buy...no offense..Just assumption only

Ok..does GLOMAC makes money..from the figures you can see that CLOMAC is not losing..the company does not have to borrow money from the bank is already winning big-big.

One thing I know you can make some $$$ with this company, it seems like it so far..

So what to do? Let's ask our SIFU here...

Bro KC, Chong, Ooi, what is GLOMAC FV at this point? please estimate for us..thanks..GLOMAC really pays gooooood dividends compared to many others.

I don't hold a single share at the moment but I plan to accumulate 1 Lot (1000) share every week, if dips below 0.82-.84, buy a little more, if it dips below 0.80 , buy a lot more..because of GOOOD dividend..

All the best

what do you say? GUYs

Dear bro KC,

Taugeh means 'Bean Sprout'- It is extremly easy to grow but inexpensive and nutritious as vegetable - sprout it is..cheers. Grow 3-4 days and harvest..then another 3-4 days and harvest again..over and over again. so brother KC, I guess you know what I mean..this counter is not for me.

So what is the FV for GLOMAC? No volume but that is good..no goreng business..good for long term investor?

I have a collegue, she is very new (registered this month)to the market and she has RM10,000. She wants to invest for long term..I think glomac is ok..what do you think?

Thanks

I think you should not call me sifu. Been thru the mills before, just that came out a bit wiser only. Not the enlightened one yet. People like chong, ooi, najib and what have you,may deserve such accolade. I don't think I am qualified yet.

As for your friend with the 10k, find out what her threshold is first. Is she willing to just go for dividend? Is she willing to compound the profit? Is she in for 5 years down the stretch or 1 year? If you ask me,I'd say put in FD (banking) first and wait for opportunity to buy. In the meantime, just hang in here and check our numbers and target. Tell her the mmost beautiful sentence is be fearful when market is bullish aand be greedy when it turns bearish!

Dear bro KC,

Actually I have a different defination for 'SIFU', it means that one is willing to share and be able to contribute to a certain extend.

Of course, making money in the share amrket is our first priority, if it is not then what is the point of entering the "ponds"; nevertheless,I can still witness and foresee many people are willing to share in this forum...SIFU is one who is willing to share, teach and clarify doubts with others. In chinese 师者:授業, 傳道, 解惑者也. In Malay I don't know how to write..can anybody help?

Regardless what fields are we in, there are always some SIFUs out there we can learn from. Hahaha, my daughters always teach me something new with regards to the technology. In that sense, they are actually my sifu in the field of using electronics gizzards. So bro KC, you are also my SIFU since you have contributed more than I do.

In fact, in the arena of teaching and learning, age has nothing to do with it provided the Intellectual is in between. Whoever pocess the skills and abilities to solve problems in a fast and effective way and be willing to share will be considered the 'sifu'. 学无先后, 达者为师.

Have you watched the Jacky Chan new movie 'KARATE KIDS'? Good movie with simple meaning...expecailly for kids. My youngest son have been watching it over and over again; he is trying to learn every move through 'osmosis' I guess...we need that kind of genuine fighting spirits. Simple, pure and genuine. Because we are afraid to lose, so we must fight.. Of course the 'Market' is thousand times far more complicated.

So bro KC, do you have anything for a young and newly wedded lady just turned 30 with long term investments strategy having in mind? I recommand GLOMAC and SUNREIT, would you please name the other one for her to choose?

I mean at least she has a 33-33-33 chance if anything go wrong. Hahaha, I am sort of dividing the responsibility here, it is unfair for you to bear the other 33% of the weight. Oh...She is probably watching the forum as well but has never posted any comment. Bro KC, With all due respect, I hereby asking your permission to forward this tread for her perusal. In addition, should you have decided to suggest one(1) counter for her to choose. That will be great..many thanks.

p/s. To other brothers and sisters out there, if you have seen this post. please feel free to suggest one(1) counter. One(1) per person is good enough. We share the responsibilities..wah..hahahahaha...this is fun..

p/p/s. We might even benefit from the sharing, at least we are constantly learning as well as teaching - highways go both ways, right? So is communications.. CHEERS

Best reagds

no i cannot, because each's risk-reward ratio will be completely different. but just for the sake of the newly wed, if you want me to name counters, i would love to see business in a quasi monopoly. i could in my mind name two, Wellcal and CBIP. caveat here: i am in both shares, so it may be construed i am pushing this stock. But i am not, hence my reluctance to offer. both are good in paying dividend but currently on the high side in price already. so why not wait for a proper entry price and still get in. your partnership with your friend needs to realise that banks pay a safe interest, whereas dividend is entirely up to the management.

your definition of sifu is different from mine. so, with your permission, i would like to avoid that. confused as it is already! :)

Dear bro KC,

Hahahaha..you are hilarious..Yes..I can understand that. When I lack of sleep, I don't even feel like talking. It is very nice of you for replying the messages, we appreciate it.

My collegue would like to go for long term investment strategy; she is by no mean rushing for cash of any knid. She's well paid, a secured job, no family burden, excellant health conditions, no kid yet. In short, she has no financial quandary whatsoever in that department.

She has many thousands more of course but I've suggested 10k is good enough to test the 'depth of the water'. I have shown her the hectic sides of the tradings and it is her forte per say.

Thank you very much for the input and it is time to go for lucheon.

outnow till we meet again. Best regards

In Malay, a sifu/guru adalah ibarat lilin, sentiasa menerangi hati dan minda orang lain. Translated into English, a sifu is likened to a candle, always enlightening others in mind and spirit.

Dear all,

I had checked through most of indices of KLSE, I noticed RSI is very high and above 80% for the following indices :-

FBMKLCI
FBMEMAS
Consumer
Finance
Properties

Hence market correction is coming for the aforesaid sectors.

For those want to buy cheap, please wait for a while, any big correction down is a buying opportunity.

The rumour of Election in September 2012 is not good for KLSE.

Please note and trade cautiously.

My opinion base on technical analysis. Final decision is yours.

Thank you.

further this, the report below shows domestic buying is starting to buy in bigger volume. by next week, we shall see that both the local and foreign players are in big numbers owing to IPO listing and maybe even Templeton Emerging Market group's assessment!

https://www.dropbox.com/s/qapfmi95uw00hix/www.midf.com.my-images-pdf-research-Report-Malaysia-Equity-Strategy-2012-Fund%20Flow%20Report_Week%20July20_MIDF%20-%2023%20July%202012.pdf.png

Even this morning's lacklustre showing is now fully turning out to be a buy and market indicating a positive +2 points. if my experience serves me right, and if the current government knows how to play their cards right, this so-called "pre-rally" has every potential to turn out to be a bull run. That would be very good just before going for budget and then the GE. hang on tight!

This is the best i could do, whilst waiting for MIDF report. Source : Bursa

we shall take this first and do a month to month comparison until Feds and ECB meets again in September. The higher the volume/value, the better for all, i am sure you know that, fellow investors!

Based on what I've read here, I'd say it's prudent to adopt a wait-and-see strategy for the time being. The index-based counters are on the high side at the moment and it is likely that there will be some correction. Would be better to keep our gunpowder dry for now.

But, as always, there will be opportunities elsewhere - some selected second/third-liners might be where the action will be. MK Land, UOADEV and TH Heavy seem to have run out of steam and are consolidating. Wonder what will be the focus next week?

from what i see, foreigners are not bulk buyers. They have not even started as far as the graph goes. it only entails 1.04% of the volume traded. their value is small, indicating they are buying small bets and probably the big funds may not come yet. a co-relation need to be studied with MIDF's breakdowns.

local retails (people like chong and their 10 lots strategy) is buying the bulk of the shares (making almost 50% of the buying). followed by local institutional, but in terms of value, it is no surprise the local institutional could afford the big-priced ones. The locals are basically traders, hence showing that domestic demand is there and on the rise. Still nett sellers to to political and economic uncertainty everywhere.

if by next month's comparision sees an increase in foreign institutional buying, it confirms inflow is there. (this might explain why the KLCI is trading almost sideways last one week) For now, i think the chart is telling us, they are probably awaiting the outcome of the election, before they come in a big way.

MC position is tenable. Strategy is to maintain buying on good stocks with sound fundamentals for now. Overall, still domestically driven!

My take:
As results goes, local institution bought a lot in last weeks fund's flow due to IHH IPO.

numbers were slow because markets stayed in the sideline awaiting Feds and ECB's decisions.

maybe today's rise is a precursor that buyers are entering the market here again, signalling from up to 15% from some selected stocks. Blue chips took the lead according to BTimes in today's report.

This is the greek version of where the market is heading for those who knows greek:

Verdict:
Bull coming? be careful.... if the bull is not forming, head to nearest exit. My feeling is bull is coming as 2nd half gets underway proper. Now if only the darn GE can get out of the way!
