Maybank Investment Bank Bhd today listed eight new European style cash-settled call warrants over ordinary shares of eight companies with an issue size of 100 million each.
The companies are AirAsia Bhd, Bumi Armada Bhd, BIMB Holdings Bhd, Dayang Enterprise Holdings Bhd, Malaysian Airline System Bhd, Malaysia Building Society Bhd, Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Bhd and Petronas Chemicals Group Bhd.
Maybank Investment in a statement today said this provides the opportunity for savvy investors to participate in a potentially volatile market.
It said the primary focus of this tranche is a broad exposure to the oil and gas sector, ranging from offshore services to petrochemical products.
This tranche also has additional exposure to the financial services sector as well as the airlines industry.
The call warrants offer investors the opportunity to capture upside potential of the underlying shares at a fraction of the price of the underlying shares if they have a positive view on the shares.
The tenure of all eight style cash-settled call warrants is about 12 months.-- Bernama
