With EBITDA of RM 639,817,000 can't even cover the lease payment and finance cost.
Foreign exchange gain/(loss)
Realized RM 74.8 million
Unrealized : RM 2,195 million
So if you have USD (debts + lease liabilities+Aircraft maintenance) of RM equilvalent 22 billion, a 10% appreciation of RM against USD will result in RM 2 billion unrealized Foreign exchange gain.
Cash flow from financing activities
RM '000
Proceed from borrowings 1,551,768
Repayment of borrowings (524,519)
Repayment of lease liabilities (2,621,956)
So still borrowing addition RM 1billion+ to stay afloat.
The net current liabilities RM (11,237,082,000) can Stony magic create money from thin air to settle the net current liabilities in 12 months time?

From capA AGM minutes:
The majority of the liabilities of Aviation/AAX are lease liabilities of RM20 billion that will be repaid over the tenure of lease ranging from 12 to 18 years.
Current lease liabilities of RM5 billion represent lease payment due within 12 months and will be serviced by operating cash flow for the next 12 months.
Aviation is expected to generate positive cash flow to service its liabilities going forward, that is supported by valuation of both AAB and AAAGL under the DCF method.
Question: Can aviation generate enough operating cashflow for the next 12 months to services lease payment due within 12 months of RM 5 billion?

@investor77 send out below email this afternoon.
So far not yet received any reply.
Dear IR,
I’m glad to read from Bursa announcement Jaya Tiasa AGM was successfully concluded with all the resolution accepted.
May I know had The BOD make any decision on my appeal to bring forward the March 2025 interim dividend to this year in order to avoid paying dividend tax of 2% next year?
Will I be receiving a copy of answers to my AGM questions sent in advance?
Or the answers will be published at Jaya Tiasa website as AGM minutes?
Thank you
Have a good day
Best Regards,
Lee Soon Sheng

Unrealised FX gain - every listed company with USD borrowings/debts/liabilities will have FX gain due to strong RM as at 30/9/24.
However 50% of the unrealised gain is given back by 27/11/24 due to weakening RM
12 hours ago
By the way as at 30/9/2024
RM'000
Current trade and other payables 4,635,016
Current borrowing 1,095,947
Current portion of long term debentures 290,261
Current lease liabilities 3,467,211
And etc

When you earned in RM but borrowings/debts/payment in USD.
Then USD strengthen you need more RM to pay borrowings/interest/debts/payment and your borrowings/debts become more in RM term.
But when RM strengthen then you need less RM to pay borrowings/interest/debts/payment and unrealized FX gain as your borrowing/debts become less in RM.
You only realized the gain if you settle all you borrowings/debts

I read his comment about his average holding price of JTiasa accumulated since 2 years ago. Slightly above RM1. At today closing price of 1.29 , 20% gain in 2 years ?
2 years ago , I invested in palm oil counter. Sold at 300% gain. I invested the proceed in an unfavorite stock just before capital repayment followed by privatization , another 120% return. Now in AAX and Capital A with 50% return in less than 6 months.
AAX and Cap A rank 6 and 7 in my 10 stocks Bursa portfolio.
If I misled by SSLee 6 months ago invested in JTiasa instead of Cap A , I will suffer 15% of losses instead of 50% gain now.

In JTiasa , SSLee challenged others with non cash items of depreciation , armotization. Act like at expert.
Overhere , he questioning how EBITDA able to repay operating lease.
Read the cash flow statement in CAP A. How much cash generated from operating activity

Translation gain / losses is common for every company. Gain or losses fluctuate according to the depreciation or appreciation of the domestic currency against foreign currencies.
Focus on the core business and indicators related to the core business in income statement and cash flow statement

As for CapitalA, we all knew Airasia is the best in every department. It's time for Tony to deliver big fat profit for Q3. High time to get out of PN 17. Finally the good news that Mabel has been waiting for was delivered by our Magician late last night.
https://www.thestar.com.my/business/business-news/2024/11/28/capital-a-delivers-net-profit-of-rm201bil-in-3q-on-forex-gains-demand-recovery
Capital A Bhd reported a *net profit of RM1.64 billion for the third quarter of 2024*, a significant turnaround from a net loss of RM102.75 million in the same period last year. The profit was mainly driven by a foreign exchange gain of RM2.3 billion due to the appreciation of local currencies against the US dollar.
The company's revenue increased by 17% year-on-year to RM4.9 billion, thanks to the recovery in demand for both domestic and international travel. Despite having 23% of its fleet non-operational, Capital A managed to deliver strong results, with plans to expand its fleet and launch new routes in the coming months. The non-aviation segments also performed well, contributing significantly to the overall revenue.
Soon PN17 will be history. Fernandes said the company is on track to complete this transaction by January 2025, having secured the shareholder approval for the disposal of its aviation business.
Well done Tony, All Stars and Capital Supporters!!!

Jaya Tiasa used the depreciation , armotization of assets for repayment of borrowing
Whereas capA depreciation , armotization of ROU assets and lease liabilities financial cost is used to pay lease payment due to lessors.

Haha Income Dear,
Mabel is saving this song for Mabel's Lady Sapura...so nice..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5EdmHSTwmWY
With Great Progress from Capital A, next one to get out of PN 17, will be Lady Sapura. Yesterday our Lady was the Top Gainer in Mabel Energy and Prince of Malaya with 2nd Top Volume in KLSE while KLSE is still having period. The disposal of OMV which Mabel approved during our recent EGM is on track to be completed in December.
We’ve moved from RM 400 mil to RM 500 mil net cash to about RM 1.7 bil, primarily through self-generation. Anuar also points out that our operations were profitable, despite the limited working capital that was hindering growth. Evidently, its free cash flow in the first half ended July 31, 2024 (1H25) stood at RM 275 mil, while for FY24 the group reported a free cash flow of close to RM 700 mil. Looking ahead, the company is aligning its expertise with energy transition opportunities, focusing on two areas – decommissioning and carbon capture and under-ground storage (CCUS).
Sarawak Oil Asset is value at RM30 Billion. Our Lady just got a 5year Contract from Petronas despite knowing well its financial constraints or perhaps Petronas knows that our Lady will be out of will be out of PN17 sooner than we think…
Our company’s debt restructuring is another two quarters away from completion. The true test of a business’ resilience lies in how it deals with its lows. Sapura Energy Bhd, once a prominent player in the oil and gas (O&G) sector, is no exception. Hence, we are saving The Best For Last….

Capital A is a travel ecosystem company that survive and profit depend on market share, which similar to Amazon depend on market share. During growth phase this type of company require cash to sustain expansion until critical mass reach will then profit follow.
While aviation business is an assets heavy business, which no good management use cash to growth company. If there are no assets, then no lease or borrowing , no business to be run.
Use various financial option to lease these assets, while profit is made through good management of operating cash flow.
