"Huge" lease payments and deferred lease payment to lessors.
The above huge mean:
Lease liabilities
The lease liabilities amounting to RM15.9 billion includes deferred aircraft leases of approximately RM1.0 billion (after the issuance of Revenue Bond to restructure deferred lease of approximately USD 243 million) The lease liabilities are supported by ROU assets of RM12.1 billion.

Repost:
9 months ended 30/9/2024
RM '000
Cash generated ftom operation 2,365,608
Net cash generated from operating activities 2,162,677

So is cash flow enough to pay what Stony reply in AGM minutes?
The majority of the liabilities of Aviation/AAX are lease liabilities of RM20 billion that will be repaid over the tenure of lease ranging from 12 to 18 years.
Current lease liabilities of RM5 billion represent lease payment due within 12 months and will be serviced by operating cash flow for the next 12 months.
Aviation is expected to generate positive cash flow to service its liabilities going forward, that is supported by valuation of both AAB and AAAGL under the DCF method

Or
Cash flow from financing activities
RM '000
Proceed from borrowings 1,551,768
Repayment of borrowings (524,519)
Repayment of lease liabilities (2,621,956)

Another Airlines disaster involving Boeing. Whenever possible Capital A should avoid Boeing at all cost..

When an aircraft lands without its landing gear, it performs what's known as a belly landing or gear-up landing. This means the aircraft lands on its underside, or belly, instead of on its wheels. Here are some key points about belly landings:

Damage: Belly landings typically cause extensive damage to the aircraft. The friction between the aircraft's belly and the runway generates heat, which can lead to fires if not managed properly2.

Precision: Pilots need to execute belly landings with extreme precision. They must ensure the plane lands as straight and level as possible while maintaining enough airspeed to stay in control.

Risks: Belly landings carry the risk of the aircraft flipping over, disintegrating, or catching fire if it lands too fast or too hard. Strong crosswinds, low visibility, or damage to the airplane can increase the danger.

Causes: Belly landings can occur due to mechanical malfunctions that prevent the landing gear from extending or due to pilot error, such as forgetting to lower the landing gear2.

Safety Measures: Modern aircraft are equipped with safety systems to reduce the possibility of human error, such as warning lights and horns that alert pilots if the landing gear is not locked down.

While belly landings are one of the most common types of aircraft accidents, they are normally not fatal if executed carefully.

God Bless them..

JejuAirlines disaster. It was the concrete wall at the end of the runaway that destroyed the plane. The position sensors shouldn't be mounted on concrete wall. They should be mounted on simple collapsible devise. It's pity that the pilot has done great job of landing the plane almost intact only to find the concrete wall that shattered the plane to pieces. Lesson learned we should check every airport in this beloved country for any concrete or very strong structures and both end of each and every runaway to prevent this kind of disaster in the future.

Mabel

Touche...runways are designed with safety features known as "runway end safety areas" (RESAs) to reduce the risk of accidents caused by runway overruns. These areas may include soft ground or materials that can absorb the impact of an aircraft. If an aircraft does overrun a runway and collides with a rigid structure, like a wall, the consequences can be severe.

Capital A Berhad submits its Proposed Regularisation Plan to Bursa Malaysia, marking a key milestone toward exiting PN17 status and driving long-term growth.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Capital A Berhad has announced the submission of its Proposed Regularisation Plan to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, a critical move toward exiting the Practice Note 17 (PN17) status. This development signifies a major milestone for the Group, showcasing its strengthened financial position and unwavering dedication to long-term growth.

Key Steps in Capital A’s Regularisation Plan
Capital A’s commitment to achieving financial regularisation is reflected in the outlined steps required for the completion of the PN17 upliftment process:

Approval from Bursa Malaysia
Securing regulatory endorsement is the initial and essential step.
Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM)
Once approved by Bursa Malaysia, the Group will convene an EGM to seek shareholder consent.
Approval from the High Court of Malaya
Following shareholder endorsement, the plan will proceed to the High Court of Malaya for final confirmation.
PN17 Upliftment
The culmination of these efforts will see Capital A exiting its PN17 status, signifying the successful execution of its financial recovery strategy.
Notably, the plan is contingent upon the completion of the disposal of its aviation business, which plays a pivotal role in the proposed regularisation strategy.

Resilience Amid Challenges
Capital A’s journey to PN17 upliftment highlights its proactive approach to regulatory compliance and risk management. The Group has identified key challenges, such as market competition and operational disruptions, and remains focused on addressing these effectively.

With a clear strategic direction, Capital A is poised to emerge stronger and more resilient, underscoring its commitment to shareholders and stakeholders alike. This achievement not only reflects the company’s financial acumen but also marks a significant turning point for Malaysia’s corporate landscape.

As Capital A progresses through this transformative phase, it sets a benchmark for other corporations navigating similar challenges, reaffirming the importance of adaptability and robust planning in today’s dynamic business environment.

One of Mabel Uncle was on the flight in the 80s, MAS plane skid off at Subang Airport. Fortunately, there was no concrete at the end of the highway. It's fortunate that, in that case, there was no concrete barrier at the end of the runway, which likely helped to avoid a more disastrous outcome.

Malaysian Airline System Flight 684 departed Singapore Changi Airport on 18 December 1983 at 18:53 local time. As the flight approached Subang International Airport (now Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport) in Subang, Selangor, Malaysia at 19:20 local time, it was cleared for an instrument landing despite poor runway visibility of 450 m (1,480 ft) due to rain.

So Mabel think our Subang Airport is better...

Plane crashes are common just like road accidents.
Nothing unusual to be paranoid.

Plane crashes are uncommon unlike road accidents.

Every planes accident will be investigated thoroughly the root cause and the chain event that lead to the accident.

Plane manufacturer and plane operator is duty-bound to correct any faults identified by the accident investigators.

Of course we are paranoid and we should be. Many people have cancelled tickets purchased because of many unanswered questions. What happened to the left engine? It's very rare that the bird strike on both engines. Even if both left and right engines we stricken by birds, Boeing still have APU which is capable of controlling the aircraft at least to perform emergency landing. Because Jeju only operate Boeing almost all of their customers have cancelled their booking.

If we compared the crash landing between JejuAirlines and Azerbaijan Airlines, the Azerbaijan one was more severe and the plane exploded immediately after landing. The plane broke into two upon impact yet miraculously 27 of 68 on board survived. The investigators have confirmed that the hydraulic systems were rendered useless after Russian defense system struck the aircraft. The pilot did a wonderful job of landing the aircraft. Back to Jeju Air, everything was not working. The flaps, reverse thrusters, landing gears. Everything. I am paranoid and you all should be. Lets pray this will never happen again.

And the pilots didn’t balance well during
Facing the strong crosswinds due to Storm .. but he said things happen too fast is a factor also .

I had seen this Video … very impressive one :

The landing took place at the Heathrow Airport (LHR) on Saturday (Dec 7) at around 3.49pm (UK time). Facing the strong crosswinds due to Storm Darragh, the MH4 flight was seen initially battling turbulence before approaching the Heathrow Airport (LHR) runway.9 Dec 2024

Hoho in fact many companies did Capital Reduction since Last year … even those listed in Singapore, with a Special Dividend to the shareholders !👍

Section 117 of Companies Act 2016 (“Act”) now provides an alternative to the Court procedure where a Company can reduce its capital by special resolution supported by a solvency statement for purposes of reducing the liability on the shares or return of excess capital.

in KLSE : Eco World International plans further RM500m capital repayment after RM1. 5b last year. KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 6): Eco World International Bhd (EWI) plans to reduce its share capital by a further RM500 million to pay a targeted 21 sen per share in dividends or RM504 million in total payout over the next two years.6 Feb 2024

According to the company's data, the average monthly flight time per Jeju Air aircraft was recorded at 418 hours in the July-September period, the longest among the six domestic low-cost carriers. Other competitors reported lower figures, with Jin Air recording 371 hours and T'way Air 386 hours per aircraft over the same period.

Full-service carriers had comparatively shorter average monthly flight times, with Korean Air at 355 hours and Asiana Airlines at 335 hours per aircraft.

Capital A has been actively expanding its fleet and routes, which likely improves to our aircraft utilization rates.

Does anyone knows Capital A monthly flight time?
