从RM0.30到RM1.60,赢了433%,哈哈。

*凭单也是要看是否是in the money或者out of the money。如果在过期时,我们的凭单是out of the money,那么就等于零了。

there are many types of warrants. all with expiring date.
there is on INCORRECT perception that once nearing expiring or expire on a specified date the warrants are burnt.
this is MISLEADING

Gainvestor10sai

sorry jaynetan. I should mention on the company warrants and also structured warrants. Can you share with us the correct perception? Thank you^^ Sharing is caring, my fren.

sorry gainvestor10sai, I might not be right or what you wrote might not be what I understand. I m referring to normal warrants.
They might be expiring soon or expires, lets say on 7/12/15. If they are IN THE MONEY, there is money.

good morning gvestor10sai.
u just overlooked.
but u r providing good knowledge without charging.
many so called professionls in the broking line are providing incrorrect or not so professional information on stocks. Lacking of knowledge or upgrading themselves resulting clients still in the dark after many years of trading and losing money in the market.
well, investors or clients are partially to be blamed as a lot of them look ignorant and prefer kopitiam gossips rather than upgrading themselves.

warrants, not the call warrants or put warrants, infact are very interesting in some cases.
Taking a look at two warrants that expired recently, those who bought on the last day of trading n converted to its mother shares are laughing to the banks

Jaynetan, how do we go about converting the warrants on the last day? My remisier tells me I should convert 1-2 months prior to expiry.

Is it possible for the company to extend the life of a warrant?

2015-12-13 00:19

Jaynetan,
Can u pls explain what u mean? What's in the money? say, on 7/12/15 a company warrant ended 0.05, r u saying it's worth 0.05 even if we didn't sell it?

hi, leijun, sorry to wake up early in the morning.
it is incorrect to say need to convert 1-2 month before expiry.
last trading day is the final day to trade the warrants. if u are not going to convert or if u think not worth , then sell on or before the last trading day. after the last trading day, you are given about a week to send the conversion fee to the registrar

to extend the life of a warrant, needs bursa approval.
previous 10 yrs there were some companies requested to extend the life of their warrants . NONE latest 10 yrs

2015-12-13 00:40

jaynetan

leijun, there are a few market terms when talking about warrants.
in the money is if u were to convert it to its mother share, there is a premium. it is out of the money if no premium.
last trading 0,05 sen as u said, mean u get 0.05 sen if u sell off.

2015-12-13 00:46

jaynetan

if u don't sell off, the warrants are going to be delisted after the last conversion date

2015-12-13 00:48

Hi Jaynetan!
Thanks for replying ! Im not asleep yet!

R u a remisier? I see! In fact my remisier even suggested that I exchange 3 warrants for a mother instead of taking the trouble to convert when the expiry draws near. He says not that he wants to earn commissions fr my transactions (both my selling of warrants and buying of mother), but converting is a very troublesome process! And I've to do it myself?

Jaynetan, sorry I don't understand what u mean by NoNE latest 10 years. I stumbled upon one counter last week that requests bursa extend their warrant. ( I forgot which counter d! Forgot to mark it down!)

Allow me rephrase. Can I write to the company requesting that they extend the life of the warrant? Any disadvantage to the company? And under what circumstance bursa would not approve?

I see! Thanks for your explanation, Jaynetan!

we have no power or right to ask for extension.

Oh, if I find that counter again I post it here. But that co merely announced they hv submited it to bursa, pending approval. That's what prompted me to ask if we can request the same . Didn't know a shareholder is so powerless. Huhuhuhuh...
