Let us be kind to calvin too. He is the biggest loser so far in NetX. Having bought from 1 sen to 1.5 sen to 2 sen to 2.5 sen and even perhaps 3 sen. Pity him. We will never know how many houses he has lost so far since he sold his houses to buy into NetX in late last year.

I have all along maintained the intrinsic value of Netx to be << 0.5 sen.

If a big shareholder is selling a lot of shares at 1 sen, what do you think is his intrinsic value for Netx?


Will it be 1.5 sen, 2 sen, 2.5 sen, 3 sen or 8 sen (calvin's target?

Or will it be lower than 1 sen?


Failure to invert and challenge one's own simple thinking can be detrimental.

calvin will always be calvin. if he does not promote, we wouldn't have known him for his good and his bad. For someone who is so active, he is truly a intellectual idiot and arrogant. If only he is a bit humble, perhaps he can be accorded some respect. Also he is rude in depriving those who participate in this forum from having their posts remaining long term. The deletions just show us his character. Look at the thousands of posts deleted in this thread. Is this forum his grandpa's property? Just asking the obvious.


As much as he likes to portray his smart alec arrogant behaviour, we just have to do our role to highlight the alternative facts. Dismissing others as tunnel vision and stupid or idiotic, with no firm basis, speaks loudly of his integrity.


I am a student of invesring for decades. In humility, I approach investing mindful of the yncertainties and probabilities. The best investor can at time has a humble moment. His protection is to know himself, share honestly and intelligently and generally given the facts (the good and bad) allow others who wish to share to make their individual decision.


Recently cslvin promoted another stock. His side kick lieutenant went of the rampage spamming many threads in i3. Kindly respect this forum There are many people in this forum The most vocal and the most noisy have generally been found to falter badly.

Credit risks, however, very well managed.

Since listing, this is the 2nd big fall in its price.

The fundamentals remain strong, though in a recession, poor performing loans may rise.

It is trading at single digit PE.

As a guide, as long as the lenders (banks and bond holders) are willing to lend to this company, we can be assured their business remains in good shape. Afterall, these lenders would have done all the due diligence better that you or I can.

Your 2 stocks (HLI and Sam) are good selections. I have looked at these before, though I did not invest into. They have done well over the years.

The funny thing with investing in wonderful companies is these companies are usually not available at "low prices". Even at fair prices, they often trade at high valuation.

Another funny thing is those who are not in the stock, it is probably too late for them to be in after a recent rapid rise. There is a high probability that the enthusiastic romance with wonderful stock then has given it too high a valuation. The best time to own such a wonderful stock is when there is little focus on it or when it is subjected to some bad or unpalatable news which is temporary and does not affect the company's fundamentals permanently.

On the other hand, if you own such a wonderful company, your frame of thinking should be different from the one's who has not bought into the stock. I shall not elaborate further on this but you can work it out yourself.

Management has been poor in allocating capital. Injection of insider assets into company.

In March 2010, the price of GENM was attractive for insiders to buy.

Keep an eye on its price.

Uncertainty level is very high in the stock market the last few months and will remain so for this year.

Risk is always present anywhere in Bursa. Just gotta learn to live with it.

I actually sold some TDM to get into NetX. TDM was about 40, and that time looking like coasting toward 50 then 60. But I just thought, I just have to get some TDM.

At the time I was thinking, okay 'sacrifice' some potential immediate gains in TDM for even greater future gain by NetX.

And you know what actually happened? TDM has reversed back to 30, no thanks to mahathir's big mouth, while NetX has remained rock steady at 2 sen.

Which means that, I would have actually saved some significant paper loss on TDM, had I sold more of it to buy into more NetX.

If I am holding 10,000 big lots at cost 2 sen, I can just sacrifice 200 big lots at 1.5 sen, just hoping to trigger some panic selling at 1.5 sen, so that I can buy 5,000 more big lots at 1.5 sen.

Not smart to be enthusiastic with a company due to its recent or present temporary good performances.

Anyway, people in the glove industry invest in new moulds when they open new production lines. According to these knowledgeable people, these moulds hard need to be replaced.

Avoid being too taken in by the many companies going into masks and face shields recently. The good time is not going to last and whatever profits there maybe will be competed away.

If you do not have the stomach to see the price of your stocks fall 30% or even 50% at certain time, you cannot be a great investor for the long term.



Investing is very simple.

Stay with great companies.

Invest regularly for the long term.

Reinvest the dividends.


When the many in i3 shares their great skills in getting in and out of their stocks, it tells us a lot about their thinking and little of their actual performance.

Those who own the above stocks in their portfolio do not need to gloat nor fear; they know over the long term, they will be fine and their portfolio will deliver good to great returns.



[One day, raider will post Nestle. Then, he will post DLady. Then he will post Padini. Then another stock. It is so stupid. Over the long term that he had posted on all these stocks, these stocks have given great returns. By focusing on the short term price fluctuations, at the time when their share prices dropped, raider felt vindicated that he was "right". It was so stupid. It is exactly these times, when I lock in my buying and observe these stocks delivering great returns going forward. If I have followed this stupid person, I might be impoverished. But I am smarter and wiser learning the foolishness and mistakes of others here.]

1. Bought a certain counter the day before in large amount. My friend discovered it was not possible, as the volume transacted that day was smaller!

2. Was discussing some of Dali's recommendations. Twisted and turned facts beyond reasons.

3. Hengyuan: Target price RM 46 and he was buying at 13.00 and never will sell.

Also why is 3iii sharing his story on Hengyuan, discouraging i3 participants from been taken for a ride by a dishonest chap who claims Hengyuan is undervalued with PE of 3 and its intrinsic value is RM 46? The dishonest chap cannot even admit that he said so, preferring to lie his way out. Admit the truth and the mistake, be a man and be honest, and then move on. SSLee, this is a true story from my stockbroker. I think I mentioned this in my post. It has nothing to do with you.

According to my stockbroker friend, his opinion why the particular shareholder was quiet at the next AGM was the major shareholder may have sent some of his not so 'lawful' friend to have some words with him.
