I have tried using 5 mins TF on CPO futures. I got this experience. The candles plunged. I shorted. Before I can finish covering the short, the candles went up n higher resulting in a loss of 4 ticks 4x25= $100. All this happen in less than 1 second.

connie - even in futures trading, despite its volatility, 15 mins TF offer less opportunity but more reliable signals. But I do not use these TF in stock trading cos the range is small unlike futures.
If u draw the channels in daily TF, the moment u switch to those 15 mins etc TF, the lines are no longer accurate n have to redraw on the smaller TF again.
By the way, which investment bank's platform are u using? I use OSK n they give chartnexus as an add on but chartnexus have problems when switching to smaller TF.

I thought previously SC said it is legal even if they borrow stocks to short. Be aware of what u are buying. They can easily use a separate legal entity to do the shorting. I never play call warrants.

RICH getting rich? Here also lah. Just look at those CEO's pay at GLCs. I still remember fr my friend who worked at TNB. That CEO there asked for 30% pay rise for himself n offered 3% to his workers.
Just ask them to go to US n they will be in ranks of the unemployed.

Trump does not want to be bodek. He wants to go his own way. If he thinks US need cheap oil, well, he will just finance those shale oil companies n does not care if oil price drops to $10-00

Agree. A Clinton victory has already been priced in. If she wins the best scenario is market would move sideways or down. If Trump wins, the market will head south.

True, Trump is selling false hopes. But he did send a real message:- the politicians there are day dreaming. The reality is not kind to the USA.
Anway, my sis-in-law is a US citizen. I told her to vote for Clinton, the lesser devil.

One reason might be the US presidential elections are round the corner n they do not want to hold big positions in the market. The results of elections could alter dramatically the sentiments.
While most expect Donald to lose. But do not be too sure. This year is a year of upsets like Brexit. For the past days, Donald has dramatically narrow Clinton's lead.
Then, the Fed will have a free hand after November whether to raise its rates.

People sure throw lah. Next year, telcos have to borrow again to fork out a big sum of $$$ to pay for spectrum again as another few spectrum are expiring. PPl are expecting divi of abt 15 cts from the current 20 cts per annum.

Times have changed. In the past, gomen does not use spectrum fees to milk the telcos. Now every gomen does. Markets have already matured but more competitors coming in. The days of telcos paying handsome dividends are long gone. But, still can expect a 20 cts dividend per year.
Right now, Celcom is highly geared n in need of fresh money. Fortunately, jamaluddin indicated they can pare down some of their overseas holdings to obtain funds but are still in control of their foreign subsidiary. Or they can list their tower company. In a sense, it has much more room to move than Maxis.
It is now in the same price range as Digi.

Gomen taking a huge sum in the form of spectrum from telcos. Stiff competition here and abroad. Those foreign gomems are also doing the same thing in taking a huge chunk of $$ in the form of fees and fines from telcos. My guess is the same as yours. Q report won't be good. Even gomen funds are trying to stabilize it at lower levels.

If u notice, a lot of big players (I presume gomen funds) are positioning their big buys below $5.00). Today there is not much selling pressure but the lack of support fr gomen funds.
