From m'siakini
"There's a massive back and forth going on between banks and Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) now," said a banker at a foreign bank in Malaysia that deals in foreign currency transactions.
"This is a type of indirect capital control ... I see a flood of people exiting Malaysia."

Hi twobits, it is possible. If u read M'sia kini now regarding foreign banks ....they say is indirect capital controls .. do not know if ff will run for the exit soon.

connie, I think yr method works for u and she should stick to it with some refinements.
I myself have not much confidence in awesome oscillator, the three wiseman etc.. is all from the book "Trading Chaos". I have read ppl losing money using awesome oscillator. Just google n u can find out.
awesome oscillator is not a leading indicator. The only method that have predictive qualities is non other than Elliott Wave.

1st half of 2017 probably a honeymoon period
2nd half onwards probably a bear market
2018 - 2022 probably a sideways market
Not necessarily true - just for the fun of it

Here is what Fung Shi for 2017 says about stock mart :-
yin fire year often boost peoples confidence about the economy bringing good performance to the stock market. Particularly during the spring and summer seasons when the wood and fire seasonal element will make the candle burn very bright and such illusory fire will drive up the stock market sky high. However, once the seasonal support of wood and fire expires in around August onward, there will be dramatic downturn as the illusive candle flame is dying.
Hence for people play in shares and stock market have to prepare for big disappointment in the second half of the year. Such phenomenon of crazy market in first half year and collapse in autumn happened in many previous yin fire years before, such as 1987, 1997, 2007.. The bearish market may commence from around August 2017 and this time the impact can be long lasting as there will not be any support to fire element between 2018 to 2022.

Tan Teng Boo of Icapital was reported as saying that he did not buy any plantation counters in KLSE but bought plantation companies in the London Stockexchange.
2016-11-14 14:46 | Report Abuse
Some of the component plantation stocks that rose since 2008 did not correct themselves even when QE came to an end. The end of QE means, in the words of Citicorp, "the setting of commodities sun". CPO prices dropped but KLK etc did not correct much. Whereas those listed plantation companies in overseas stockmart all have dropped 50%. That is one of the reasons why the KLSE did not correct much.

From its lows of 2008 (abt 8++ points) till its peak in 2014 (abt 1896), there has not been any meaningful correction). At most it has only corrected abt 38% since 2014.

Prudent investors are already making the move. They do not wait for the last minute. Interest rates are set to rise.
To understand why Trump won, read Washington Post. Clinton's hacked email changed everything. The Americans became suspicious of her.

Hi Calvin, B Plant is highly illiquid stock. Is it worth considering?

Trump's huge infrastructure plans means he need more revenue. More Treasury bills will be issued and yields would rise. Yellan would be forced to raise interest rates sooner.
Foreigners are therefore selling those bonds n taking their $$$ back to US.
Yes, it is about 2 months before Trump takes office. But no prudent investor would wait for the last minute to decide. Time waits for no man or woman.
This currency volatility is only the beginning.
If u wish to know why Trump won, read up Washington Post instead of CNN

Palm oil is traded here in MYR but in USD overseas. Malaymail confirmed today foreigners all selling government bonds which caused the MYR to plunged. This is only the beginning. Share prices depends very much on players sentiment. Once sentiment is bruised, the bear comes in for the kill.

Malaysia’s ringgit plunged to its weakest in more than 12 years in offshore markets today as investors dumped government bonds, while the spot rate barely moved as the central bank kept a tight grip on the onshore market. - See more at: http://www.themalaymailonline.com/malaysia/article/malaysian-ringgit-plunges-in-offshore-markets-bnm-locks-spot-in#sthash.jDWBK8DZ.dpuf

Expected volatility. Nothing special. The KLCI has already completed its 5 waves up. It has already been up for 5 years with no meaningful correction. After the 5 waves up, it is the corrective waves down. We are actually playing an uptrend in a bear market. It has not even corrected 50% of its gain since 2008.
