"Don't worry, Maybank is dropping now because it is being shorted.
There will be short covering soon. Short squeeze will push the price up very fast."
I suppose you taking about the futures market. How to short in KLSE? Tell me how as I want to short too.

Probably telcos would price their products higher instead of cheap packages now that all these fees are taking a huge slice of their profits. I expect them to cut dividends also to avoid over-borrowing.

It is a generic drug maker. It exports to third world countries e.g. Africa... A high risk business even if it is LC based. From my experience, some African banks delays payment for months although the claimant has complied with all terms n conditions of the LC. They have no money in their USD accounts maintained with the US banks to draw on.

Hope springs eternal in all humans. Looking at those comments, it seems every share is on the verge of going up! I As for me, KLSE is overvalued n this explains why it is not moving up.

Do u still believe ff are flocking to KLSE as hyped by the media? They are heading for the exit, I think. Genting is a favourite of ff.

The weekly chart shows Maybank having broken its H n S pattern neckline at abt 8.20. The view is bearish.

It was widely reported that they would meet the FDA n the European authorities to register Taurx as a mono-therapy drug. But this is only the first step which means it may even take a lot of time before it becomes reality. It is long term in nature n not fast track approval as some would like to believe.

Values of shares are never constant. It changes all the time. Looking forward, is this the last of its loans impairment fr those O & G in S'pore? I think it isn't the last.

PPl singing the song that a whole bunch of prepaid users have to switch to Celcom n Maxis will suffer. But none of that happened. Look at Axiata now, selling like no tomorrow.

Their selling has spooked retailer players n they also join in the herd. Since there are so many sellers, KWAP would mop up these shares at lower prices. Only when all these sellers are gone, the share would be up again n everyone would scramble to buy it. The saving grace is the company is getting better n better.

EPF is not the one holding substantial stake in Tune. It is KWAP. The party ended because the directors sold some of their shares. As I said, this share is for the long term. You can't reap a huge reward in the short term.

This is probably a sign of not much foreign buying. Newspapers n analyst make everybody think there is a big flow of foreign funds into KLSE. The reality is otherwise.
2016-08-24 22:36 | Report Abuse
By the way, EPF has now divided its fund into syariah n non-syariah. The syariah side does not have finance sector shares in its porfolio, hence the need to dispose of part of its finance sector shares. This, I think, is the reason why it sold Maybank shares like no tomorrow.

Oil may be up at this moment but UMWOG is involved in oil related services and not selling oil. All oil companies have cut down their investment, hence there is no new jobs for these oil-related services companies even if oil is up at this moment.

This share is a slow moving share. U can see some big sellers have sell orders at 1.67 even though they can't sell. Why not they wait for the price to reach 1.67 before putting the sell orders. The other aspect is the insiders have not accumulated enough shares but wants to buy cheaper.

Taurx still intends to file for approval with European n US regulators as a monotheraphy drug. Another 2 phase III results will be disclosed in the coming months (From The Edge daily). All is not lost.
This stock will remain a highly speculative n volatile stock.
