What is Strategic Trade Act (STA)
Strategic Trade Act 2010* [Act 708] (“the Act”), which came into effect on 1 January 2011 is the legislation that controls the export, trans-shipment, transit and brokering of strategic items, including arms and related material, as well as activities that will or may facilitate the design, development, production and delivery of weapons of mass destruction. This Act is consistent with Malaysia’s national security and international obligations.

In line with the National Single Window (NSW) policy, the Government wants all permit applications from issuing agencies to be made online through the e-Permit module system developed by Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd (DNEX) under the supervision of the Ministry of Finance. have a look at slide no.3...DNEX NSW all are wired/linked up from manufacturer all the way to all Gov approval agencies and then items/goods release to consumers...
Now that DFTZ and Alibaba e-hub/eWTP setting a global foothold in Malaysia and surrounding regions worth USD$30-50 billion, imagine all these exported/imported items uses DNEX services....one can calculate how much the $$$$$ flows to Dnex bank accounts....???
