oregami, seems like Maybank's earning actually increase a lot. But they purposely lower it, by increasing the "Gross change to contract liabilities" ?

Those insurance claims can be spread out, but they book all in at once in this quarter.

like a rich man let Maybank manage his money & shares. Then Maybank help him write Will
then he die. Maybank help him distribute the money according to Will, and earn commission.

His children continue to use Maybank. Children die, earn again... i like this business

You mean Maybank or the gov eat 20% of the inheritance? i thought Malaysia has no inheritance tax?

Ohhh.... you mean the estate planning fee is 20%. Right now Maybank is not doing it.
But if Maybank were to get into Estate planning, they can earn 20% fees.
