Though lesser draw will definitely mean lesser revenue, how much profit contribution from special draw is more important than revenue alone.

If not mistaken, heard during one of the AGM, it was mentioned margin for special draw is smaller due to higher contributing tax to special draw permit. Anyone to comment ?

Lesser draw will not nessary means lesser revenue....it will in crease revenue per draw n reduce payout per draw...as 3 days is the optimum number of draw...gamblers wil, be happier coz they can bet more on lesser draw...rather than bet little on more draw...

If u giv too many draw..gamblers will complain coz they got not enuff money n they will fear their number will open if they dun buy...now they bet more on normal draw to hit big...

Thats why i say bn dun wan remove the special draw becoz thats where they earn bigger share of profit....n now i am convince why tkp becom chairman of bjtoto n lge is helping him improve nfo profit...lol...becoz punters will b buying more normal draw now...

Standard resolution. It's good to give the board the mandate because it enables the Co to buyback their own shares if in it's opinion it's undervalued

xiong87 - This is my waterloo with my average cost @ 3.65, I'm sitting on massive losses. I'm personally worried that even at this level, the co has not stepped in to buyback shares.

However the quarterly dividends is like a balm that soothes the losses a little. If you want some excitement in life then go for more!

2018 still got ppl drive to shop and queue up to buy 4D ?
for those buying for jackpot i understand as ppl also worried the illegal punter will run away.. but most ppl that buy normal 4D will now go to those illegal gambling operator as its much convenience instead have to drive to each of the shop. Its time SportsToto Magnum and Pan Malaysia need to work together with authority to enable the online betting system(yes currently only damacai provide that).
If the 3 giant company can provide a hassle free online betting, i guess there's still hope.

I asked the board's opinion as to whether there'll be any additional taxes this coming budget. They said unlikely as the business is already struggling and existing taxes are heavy. Lamented about the usual illegals. Members shared some views on this including lobbying together with other NFOs.

The new CEO is not that articulate & some members don't seem to have a good opinion about him. However he comes across to me as someone who understands the business well.

One sharp member pointed out in the notes to the accounts where it was revealed that the directors paid about RM6m+ (0 previous year) on special bonus. They forgot to explain as they were inundated with questions.
