Li su fu or Najib is not so stupid to jv stupid business...there are so many business ventures to do than to risk for stupid reason. Both of them either Li su Fu or najib hope this jv will benefit them. Li su fu busines n najib political survival will be at stake with this jv.

The reason ur give that this jv so bad to drb is so simple..even primry school children can understand the logic ur give..it could be right but of course in this venture there is the advantages n disavantages to be considered. Both team have been working out on this jv to be materialise for months or years..both sides had to consider everthing. They have their team of expert in finance n etc.. Investors more like to read or hear comments from Invesment Banks ..Fund Managers research on this matter. Some may neutral n some see this as good move n positive for DRB. And of course najib said this is the best action taken by the goverment.

You maybe can win once or twice, but it won't work as a long run. Others are not stupid also. When geely buy on Volvo, no people believe also this Lee shu fu can success. Geely venturing into automobile with DRBH. What are the purposes as they have so many good brand cars in their hands. ?

I think they acquire DRBH shares are only means of LOTUS technology. PROTON brands is never in their mind. Proton is in the drain 10 years ago already lah. It is only Malaysian especially the rising low income group who can buy the cars as it's cheap compared to other cars.

How many people can buy Lotus cars in the market?

Overall, cannot expect DRBH price to go any higher after Raya. The news of signing the contract in between DRBH and Geely already factored into the share price.

Time to move onto another better counters.

Market had taken in account the Geely Proton partnership and DRB shares was trading in the range of RM1.75~1.80. Market didn't take into account the RM1.1 billion R&D reimbursement. This is worth about 0.57 per share. To me the short term TP should now be a minimum of 2.32~2.37.

Should actually be higher as now with definitive agreement signed, removes all uncertainty and any discount put on the valuation due to the uncertainty.

Long term, this counter can go back to it's glory days.

Proton losses will be cut by 49.9% for DRB. All banks loans of Proton will be paid. Geely will have no worry of paying banks interests but will concentrate on turn-around plan of making money for Proton. The plan will be out soon by Geely. Geely had such experience of turning around Volvo before.
