in year 2005 many ppl chase up Kuchai, Sbagan & Kluang due to their high NTA, but the companies refused to share their wealth with shareholders. Shareholders pestered the owners but to no avail. So investors lost interest in these 3 companies and their share price dropped way below NTA. Today we see the same thing happening. History repeats after 12 years. But of course, different players this time.
Yep...The Star reported>>Kuchai is the sixth largest shareholder with 3.03 million shares in Great Eastern Malaysia’s parent company, Great Eastern Holdings Ltd (GEH) that is listed in Singapore.
At the 8th position is S. Bagan with 1,733 million shares, and the "par" value of S.Bagan being RM1/- compared to Kuchai 50 sen par, this should put S.Bagan in the running too!
people dont do analysis themselves, blindly follow on what the articles tell. the analyst/author has already bought KUCHAI ahead of them before article release. and omitted the fact that SBAGAN has stakes in GEH too. no mention this point at all!
SBAGAN has 9.44% in KUCHAI, and 0.37% in GEH KUCHAI has 0.64% in GEH which in turn, SBAGAN has (0.0944*0.64%)+0.37%=0.43% direct and indirect ownership in GEH.
don't think so can 5.00.....fri morning up till 4.18 and whole afternoon struggling to break 4.00,how on earth can 5.00? maybe need a miracle tomoro.....hehe
I am referring to SBagan comes T3/T4, that I have interest in when the historical volume of 1.013 m. exchanged hands on 12/01/2018 which must be cleared and be with strong holders. Then if the news materialise, we should be in for a windfall. If otherwise, just hold at these low levels for a share that has assets well above prices we pay for. Best of luck!
SBagan has RM150 million cash and 1.7 million Great Eastern shares currently at market price of S$30 per share i.e. around RM153 million. Based on issued capital of 66 million shares, these two assets alone translate into RM4.60 per SBagan share. SBagan also holds around 9% of Kuchai.
Did a bit of research and discovered that Kluang owns a lot of Kuchai and Sg Bagan. Kuchai also owns a lot of Sg Bagan but very little of Kluang. Sg Bagan owns some Kuchai and Kluang. Hahaha, really messed up.
"Palm oil is a major industry in Southeast Asia. Indonesia and Malaysia employ 3.5 million people to produce 85 per cent of the world’s palm oil with export values exceeding US$40 billion annually."
3.5 million workers but 99% not Malaysians but foreign workers
"With Southeast Asian economies in the balance – especially Indonesia and Malaysia – the fruit producers must address growing concerns about environmental and employee abuses without losing their competitive edge"
Blatant open burning of plantation fields which causes environment pollution, land grabbing which contributes to homelessness and city squatting. and unemployment, when citizens are shoved aside in favour cheap foreign workers.
Toxic greed have met divine intervention and soon palm plantation will follow the fate of rubber.
"The latest crisis to face the industry’s reputation came this week as European Union lawmakers on Wednesday agreed to draft measures that seek to phase out the use of palm oil as biofuel by 2021. The move sparked fear in smallholders, who account for about 40 per cent of global palm oil production. Hundreds took to the streets in Kuala Lumpur this week to protest against the EU’s changes, saying the decision threatens their livelihoods."

Based on d ratio 1 kluang at 3.90 for 17.2827 sg bagan works out to b equivalent to a dividend of 2.25rm per sg bagan share. So invest 3370 rm today, earns 225rm in 3 months....super deal guys...cheers. As for kuchai, invedt 2k today, earns 60+ interest in 3 months...also good deal.
I sold 1 lot for 3.56 early this year but left 3,300 shares, so I'll be getting $189 in dividends + $744 worth of Kluang shares. Fortunately, of the 3 sisters, I sold down Kluang the most @ 4.00 & higher this year, from 3k to 500, so I'll be getting back some of the Kluang I sold =)
Kuchai I still have 1,000 left so that will give a me a total of over 200 free Kluang shares =)
